I'm working on a more detailed version of Alyssa but it might take a couple of days.

Okay...haven't finished that other picture for you Doug. But here's just my own purpose lol one of my characters. XD I can't stop drawing this guy, so yeah, this is what he were to look like if there were such a things called hair and neck beads. -__- I wish. XD

Here's one I did just now of another one of my chars. In retrospect, it seems very general to me. So I don't know who will recognise it and who won't.

I messed up a few things, especially the nose. I can never get noses right. Figures since it's the first thing I always do when drawing faces, a horrible idea when using pen. Noses kill me. ><;
And the neck shading is also pretty bad. And the upper eyelids aren't exactly great, either.
I'm a really harsh self-critic, in case you couldn't tell.

But other than that, I think it's pretty good. I think she actually looks better in this portrait than I'd imagined her. :) Comments?

I might try to free-hand Sylvie if I get any more spare time.

I'm also curious to see other peoples' interpretations of Snick. Please don't use her current in-game description, it's not her best. Lol
I have a little free-time, so if anyone is interested, either post here saying so or PM me.

The nose doesn't look too bad actually (her right nostril and ala(?) are a bit too prominent, but it's a nice nose otherwise). What did catch my eye though is her mouth, which is rather impressively sized.

I'm trying to figure out whether that's a compliment to my sense of facial proportions (which normally suck) or something else. If it's the latter, it's because this was very much a rush job. And it could be the camera angle as well. If it's the former, well then I'm glad I did so well despite the fact that it was a rush job… :)
Both the source photo and my character have rather full lips, though. So it fits.

My first association was a fisheye lense, but a low camera angle works, too. :) Anyway, it's not that the the lips are too big, but they are noticably big. Way more noticably than the nose or eyelids, which is the kind of small detail usually only the creator notices. (In case I'm sending mixed signals again, "well done" ;).)

Weird. I'm looking at the drawing right now, and the thing that pops out most to me is the nose, not the lips.
Note to self: Don't take picture of "better" drawings with a camera phone.

<.<

But thank you, Piscator. It's not that you were sending mixed signals, it's just that I interpreting it both ways and I wanted to make sure that the meaning that seemed most likely on my perspective was the meaning you meant in the first place. ;)
It's one of the reasons I use parenthesis in almost every sentence I type here. It also makes it more difficult for me to play my less intelligent characters (I failed with my first one, and it's increasingly difficult to maintain my second one).

A cartoon-like version of Sylvie:

I made an attempt at the body, but I thought it too generic when it was on the paper, so I erased it.

A cartoon-like version of Snick in the same style:

Here she's wearing her characteristic "Did I really need to know that?" look.

I messed up the hair on her right side--the left side looks great, in my opinion. It looks like how I imagine her. But the right side doesn't. :| Oh well.

*flashes a pair of -very- green eyes at all the people who've posted all the wonderful drawings* Very nice work, all of you guys. I can't draw to save my own life.

Well, you can learn it, if you can spare the time and don't mind that your first hundred attempts look terrible. You should see my sketch pages from earlier this year.

I like your last pictures, Snick. I really should try those eyes again. A very expressive style if well done.

The hair in the last picture looks indeed a little better on her left side, but you really don't have to worry about it (if you do, that is). The reflections in her eyes seem to be missing though.

Okay, here's my first real attempt at drawing in a looong time. I don't have any fancy software so it's just a pencil sketch :) I'm wandering whether any one will be able to work out who it is.

I think your album might be set to private or you posted the link otherwise wrong since it's asking for a login...

I could see the picture fine when I followed the URL (the image link just showed me "Image" in plain text), so I took the freedom to change it. I hope you don't mind.

edit: You still might have to change your settings somehow. I probably only have been able to see the image at all since I was still logged in to photobucket.
