Another of my chars recently made a stop in a town and experienced a lot of cliquish behavior / getting ignored / simply feeling unwelcome. Not really a criticism directed at those towns. It's natural that people interact with those they know and aren't quick to embrace the newbie.

And in other towns everyone falls all over themselves to make the newspawn feel welcome and they just walk off with barely a word.

This is beyond annoying, it's downright aggravating.

Puzzling but awesome that I can pedal a tandem bike while using a soldering iron to make diamond earrings. :D

More puzzling than being able to do all that in your sleep? :P

Preferably while swordfighting...

Ugh, it just took 14 hours to awkwardly make a bone needle. I kind of want to go out and buy a drumstick now and prove I can get a sliver of bone suitable for jabbing through fabric in literally like 5 seconds.

Drumstick from a chicken or a drumset? ;)

I actually have one of those, and I don't mind it too badly. It makes leading that town fairly low-maintenance, and allows my leader to concentrate on making sure visitors' trade needs are met.

Yay weather! Now let's all pretend it doesn't exist.

Well, when it rains 99% of the year, and snows the remaining 1%, it gets annoying to RP constantly being soaked to the bone. What is Cantr these days, Waterworld?

This. It's absolutely true. Apparently there's such a thing as too much weather :P

This absolutely. Sometimes my chars will comment on a sudden downpour, but they're young enough that it's all they've ever known, and bad weather happens so often I just assume by now they've learned to suck it up and endure.

yea it doesn't rain 24/7 in England even, if it did we'd have flippers and webbed feet. I'm starting to ignore it now. Tedious.

Where I am, it's wind. Almost always has a moderate breeze at least.

Active town, sleeping leader. And overly strict rules, like not being able to build or make anything without the leaders permission. And all buildings being locked with only the leader having a key. Crazy.

I also agree on the whole awkward spawning thing. Ending up in an unwelcoming or cliquey town is the worst.
