Yeah, seriously you guys. We always play under the idea that they are people. Yes they are people that spawn instead of giving birth. Maybe they do. Maybe newspawns just don't appear, but it's that everyone under twenty is just ignored by society, and then suddenly, "Hey you're old enough to deserve acknowldegment now. Happy existence to you." Maybe childbirth is painless in Cantr, so women are dropping babies left and right without a second thought.

And the assumption that sense they don't urinate or deficate or copulate removes all requirement for gentalia or breasts is a rather absurd assumption. I mean, do we know that they have mouths? Maybe they absorb food through their skin, or some phagocytotic internalisation mechanism. Maybe they don't have feet or hands or eyes. Maybe Cantrians are really just 20 kg bouncing blobs of protoplasm that are labeled differentially to signify male and female. After all, we don't know that cellular differentiation exists during the spawning process, perhaps all Cantrians are just ginormous zygotes. It's plausible, eh? Why not?

This sounds so much like the philosophical conversations about the nature and truth of perception I used to have while stoned. They were fun at the time...but when the fog cleared, I was left wondering how in the heck I considered it a worthwhile train of thought.

Cantrians have sex. You know how I know? Because I have witnessed characters in the game saying, "Hey. Want to have sex?" Seems reasonable to me. Sex is fun. Cantrians like to have fun. Sex can be a demonstration of love. Cantrians fall in love and like to demonstrate it. And pulling the discussioin back on topic...Cantrians start businesses to make a living and acquire wealth. Why not start up the brothel?

As long as it is for the purpose of roleplay and has some integrity and maturity behind it, I welcome it to the game. Hopefully it's not just another crappy excuse for cybersex. All hail artistic freedom and yada yada yada.

There are loin cloths and bikini's, skirts which slit up the leg,pants, thigh length boots, corsets.....to many male/female clothing.....if there are men and women in Cantr, then there is a reason they are different...
There are rings for fingers, shoes for feet, collars for necks, braclets for wrists....now how could a cantrain be a blob and wear those things?

If there are differences between the two...there will always be an attraction between them. Now we all know that sex happens in Cantr, like it or not...I don't think it is going to change sooo..

If you can create a profitable bussiness by exploiting this...and doing it respectably, go for it...only those who are interested in what you have to offer will use your services.......But to me...that is just a bussiness, and the sex inccured is just sex...wham bam and outta there.....If they want the graphic, romantic, touchy, feely stuff...they need to have the emotional attatchments lovers share, which you won't find in a place like that.

Pretty much every RPG, there are males and females. Cantr is the only one I have seen that has sex. And so much of it!
It degrades our game. I'd like to see a rule completely banning it.
Go jack off somewhere else, leave Cantr clean.

It's the filthyness of the players who are playing the characters. Masturbate somewhere else!

never once did that over cantr sex. To be honest most everyone I have ever rped sex with was terrible. I'll be glad to post some of it if you all are up for some laughs.

Yeah, sex in Cantr is honestly completely from the character's perspective and the character's motivations. I have characters with overactive sex drives and start relationships, and I have characters that are perfectly alright with remaining celibate. The deep emotional aspects of character development is one of the most powerful things that Cantr offers.

Do some people abuse the freedom? Yes. Some people abuse everything in the game. That's the result of democracy and progressive thought. Does that mean that it has to be banned? I don't think so. I have yet to have sexually explicit content forced upon me in game, or to visibly observe it getting out of control. Maybe I'm just not prudish enough to notice.


And if I need to jack off there is a cast of thousands waiting in the back of my mind to help me out with that. I don't need Cantr to get a rise, I have an overactive endocrine system and a fully developed imagination for that.

now the forced sex thing I did once too. I did ask the person ooc if they were of age though. I am not going to do that kind of stuff with a minor. But the thing is even those that ask, there is no guarrentee that they will be honest with it and not lie that they are old enough. There is alot of things that Cantr offers. Not saying lets rape everyone but those really notorious criminals don't even think of it. now I do remember a case where someone raped a corpse in Siom.

When I first started playing Cantr 1 1/2 years ago I saw (through some whispers that got a little too loud) that some chars were having very explicit sexual relationships. I had never hung out in a chat room or played an online game before and I was so naive that I was totally surprised that anyone would even think of doing that.

Before long I had a couple of chars in relationships, too, and I was really curious about what it would be like to have my chars be sexually intimate with another char. So two of my chars wound up doing it with their sweeties and I'll admit that I thought it was super-hot. Maybe because they were good roleplayers or because it was something new for me but it really turned me on the same way a really sexy scene in a novel might or like phone-sex with a bf or something like that.

I think it's laughable that people say it doesn't turn them on. Right!!! It's written porn, of course it's stimulating for the players but that doesn't necessarily mean that you're sitting there masturbating. Once I even did it at work. Hee! Sometimes I get to a sexy scene in a book when I'm on the bus, too, but that doesn't mean I have to stick my hand in my pants.

It wasn't long though before I got tired of it and decided it took too much time and effort so I stopped. I never even thought about who the other players might be until I saw something on the forums about young players rping sex and then I freaked out. Fortunately, I'm pretty sure that I know who the players were and that they are both adults but I still feel kinda weird that I didn't even think about the player behind the char when I did it.
