I'll count my brother as my friend. :D

I found it on userfriendly.org--I go there each day to read the comic and look at the link of the day. Discovered the link right before Thanksgiving (USA) and then wasn't able to log in successfully until after vacation. My two starter characters had just about starved. And one was kidnapped (Damn you Hannah Broadhurst!). What a lovely introduction! Now I've got several characters and am completely hooked!

It's the site I found Cantr on, too.

I put that I didn't know...but actually...looking at that site, I see that THAT SITE is where I found Cantr! LOL The first and only time I ever went there, until now. Looked through a bunch of games, Cantr was the only one which seemed really interesting to me at the time. I probably was looking for something to do when I was not studying, since I was in college at the time.

I also found it on the link that nick posted, when in december of '01 or '02 I was sifting through the net for strategic free online games or something to that effect. When was the exact date cantr II began?

I found this by googling "free online rpgs" and going to one of the links. I don't remember which anymore, but this was the only good site in about 100 duds.

I found this game from Finnish Wikipedia. :D
I read the article and clicked the link and voila!

I'd been playing 100AD and fancied a change from the hack and slash, so I found Project Rockstar and Cantr on
www.whitestick.co.uk
Played Rockstar for a year and a half but time pressure made me drop that and continued with Cantr.

I've mentioned before but I'm another userfriendly.org link of the day recruit ... But once whilst travelling through Mirovash (or Pok ... somewhere like that) for the first time with any of my chars, I had real deja vu about the organisations and building names, I know I'd seen them before . I think I'd joined Cantr before that but never got past the first day of spawning.
