Characters you actually connect to?

It's sort of annoying to play a character who's generally always happy and doesn't even know any negative words (until one, recently), while things rarely happen and I'm bored as a player, but the character is so easily entertained. Apparently at least one person in town is annoyed by her, but she's too stupid to understand this. Yet I as a player can read it because I unlike my character am not retarded, and it makes me feel unwanted.

Edit to correct: I remember now I actually had one character killed by another, but he didn't even have time to be a jerk and wasn't intended to be, he just spawned while the only three townsfolks in sight were having sex and he got slaughtered. Without a "hey hello" or a "wanna join us?" Poor thing XDD.

Classy folks there.
