Has the radio completely killed all need for postal services or are there still a few mail carriers kicking around out there?

Seems like a mail service is needed for any private, need-to-know-only types of messages. However, the reasons that not a lot of that is needed have nothing to do with the radio.

Cantr is missing decent liars. Of course, most people are terrible liars, so maybe Cantr is just reflecting that.

Maybe you don't know the good liars in cantr because they're just that good at lying?

Definitely, I have had characters talk them self out of many situations.

Perhaps..but I doubt it.

On another topic, I have 15 characters now...and pretty much every town..seems like it has the same basic principles, only with different degrees of punishment for not agreeing or not following these principles. That bothers me.

I would recommend becoming the leader of your own town and creating something different.

That would be wonderful...if it were really that easy. If I had the opportunity, you are damn right I would. Right now, I can't even get any of my characters fully equipped, let alone controlling their own town.

If you play long enough, and don't kill your characters too soon, and are willing to travel if need be, you will end up leading somewhere.

In my experience it's very hard to do something new and/or unusual. There are always newspawns who will complain about the local laws if they are not "fair" and will always complain when city guards do their job (wich is punching newspawns who disrespect said rules), when new characters are supposed to be "clean slates" and not have any relation to IRL government or community types. That bothers me a lot.

Wait..wait...you are blaming newspawns for the lack of variety in culture and government in Cantr? Seriously? XD Also, in my experience, the laws in cantr towns are already not "fair". In fact, a way to add some variety is to found a town that makes things more fair. XD

I think its more a fault with the entire player base then a specific age group. Yes, old and entrenched leaders make it incredibly difficult to create something new and exciting but I find that the population generally supports them. Many towns aren't willing to risk what they have on a bold new venture, even if its just a minute fraction of the vast horde of wealth these towns have managed to accumulate. Gotta risk it to get the biscuit and all that jazz

That's exactly what I think!
