Spawning ....

i have had 3 charactures spawn in places with a whole 2 people, no food and no buildings. if you ask me, the "people centric" version of spawning needs a bit of a revision. maybe make it so that spawning points have food of some kind... any kind... does it make sense to have a characture spawn in a place that has only stone and zinc(i think thats what it was) and no-one able to toss a bit of food your way so you can travel through 2 more places that lack food for a total of 6 days before finding anyone or anyplace with food? ouch, poor characture, to be born into a barren and lifeless world. its very discouraging...

and what about new people who never played the game? if the have their first 2 charactures spawn someplace like that they would probobly give up.

but this topic is charactures most like you....

Aulani. definatly my Aulani. she is bouncy and friendly and makes wreaths of daisies for everyone and she killed a buffalo... she was most proud of herself in the form of dancing around and yelling happily. yes, thats me.

Here I am. BITE ME. or not, in fact, never mind, dont want some wacko taking me up on the offer. Only non wacko's may apply for bite allowance.. no garentee that you will be granted said allowance, but you can try.

The new spawning system is fine... for a psycho pixie your pretty conservative about where you want to spawn... ROFL What's wrong with having a few chars spawn where only 1 or 2 people are... wow one actually has to find an adequate source of food and have hunger pangs until they find and tools aren't handed out... this isn't an attack at you its just a problem I have with the idea that every character ought to spawn in a settled location with readily available supplies of food and tools...

Tools aren't the problem. It's food. Noone wants their character to have no food for 6 days or so. Just like human beings most likely don't want to not eat for 6 days.Unless ofcourse they are fasting for a reason.

Heh. Some days, the few times when my little brother manages to get on my nerves, I'm like Nayn Carille. Shes a grumpy old girl, stubborn and with a short temper. More like a granny with a shotgun sometimes  . Heh.

Most days, I'm like Awi. Quiet and just wanting to get whatever needs to be done done. Heh.

On people centric spawning and winding up in a place of no food. I got food from Devestron himself. Hence the loyalty of that character to Devestron. Does this mean that Devestron is nicer than most other characters in the game?

There are many good foodless sites to be spawned in that would be lost if a change was made.

Character most like me...
I do not name my characters or even hint about them very often.
Some tend to be more like me than others.
Most wonder around fairly aimlessly waiting for something interesting to happen. These are not like me at all. I am more like many other peoples characters in the game, I can't rarely wait for life to happen and have a stubborn purpose for what I do.

My character disagreed with Devestron politically, but respected him as a man. I think Katie Hoggs is to blame, but that's another subject.
