Free and commercial don't really go hand in hand, at least not for a game.

Yes. Are separated by an ellipsis :D
Cantr II is a social simulator. What is not working is due a problem in the society.
Cantr is like Vegas - what happens in the game should be in the game.

There are no open Ryzom servers to this day.

Open sourcing a project does not mean the loss of intellectual property, or any assets. A great way to explain how open source works is "Free as in free speech, not as in free beer". (Well with GPL)

You are better check this out. They put together quite an amount of money in just 2 weeks. Mostly good games (lugaru is not my thing)

The model that is proving more successful, seems to be Open source engine and proprietary artwork/content.

Sounds like they have some work to do. So it might be days or a week.

Seeing as it happened when the starving people normally die. It might have to do with that.

Some people were eating way more than they should of been, like 300g of cooked meat a time. Probably something to do with that.

From what I can determine, it's nothing to do with eating/hunger or things like that.

However, we do seem to have pinned the problem down and we are currently putting an action plan into place to solve it. The main question seems to be security upgrades, which is in the hands of our programming slav... uh... department.

I thought I'd help....

I went to a Monastary for the weekend to chill and prayed very hard for Cantr to be back up.
Reveal to me the mysteries
Can you tell me what it means?
Explain these motions and metaphors
Unlock these secrets in me
Describe the vision, the meaning is missing
Won't anybody listen?
