Most of the time the fault of someone running in quickly after saying something.

I think it is sort of like when you are talking to someone and they run somewhere real fast, and so then they don't hear you, that is how I rp it

But it is rather weird to see someone step inside a place, say something and then quickly stepping out, locking the door in the process.

People could cut the text after they're finished writing it, then refresh the page and paste and say it only after checking the target is still in the location. That's how I normally do it. Also, if I don't know if people are on-line, my characters won't stick around waiting for a reply after they have said something when they have other stuff that needs doing. If people say something after my character has run off, they can wait until they seem to be done with the running, then repeat what they were trying to say earlier.

About the refreshing; I do the same too.

But if my character says something after running into a place, I wait at least five minutes before running off again. To give them the chance to react.

Well, I agree with Seko on the other-stuff-to-do thing. But not if it's like, you're in a room with someone and you're roleplaying and the other falls asleep in the middle of it. I usually just wait for them to wake up again then.

Hehe, yeah, I was talking about situations like when you're inside working on a project, and need to check on things outside, or if someone else comes in to tell you something and you go outside to reply to them, but still have that project that needs tending to inside - like if THEY wanted a conversation, they could have stayed inside after saying what they did. Or if you just came back home and need to check on things and aren't sure if anyone is on-line.

I certainly wouldn't wander off in the middle of a long conversation or a private encounter unless there was a message from someone not involved, or a knock on the door, and even then I'd excuse myself so that the person knew I was going to go away.

Dudel felt insulted by Wiro..?

(As in for playing the character mentioned.)

Sorry, Evil had to interfere.
