There is a place called Karaganda on Fu. I've spent my last two years in Kazakhstan and I found it really hilarious when I saw the name, because Karaganda is a name of actuall city in Kazakhstan. It really made me grin and it didn't bother me at all. And of course my character just didn't notice that, for him it was just another name.

RL Texas is Texas. You might have seen America on a map. America is a part of Texas, if that helps.

Soda is a general term for a type of beverage (soft drinks, carbonated drinks, etc.). Coke is a specific beverage. This is important because Coke is not Pepsi and Coke is better than Pepsi. Pop is a genre of music that I hear way too much of on the radio. It's also incredibly fun to do with bubble wrap.
