Image - Inside a building
Image - You've been injured inside a building
Image - You're standing, in a place, doing nothing.
Image - You're standing, in a place, and you've been injured.

They're pretty bad, but you get the idea :P

The travelling one could just be the same as the follow route button (Image)

The sailing one looks good to me, maybe it could do with being a bit sharper.

The standing person - why not just have the old smiley face for a character standing outside and not hurt (please?)

Anyway, as far as I can tell, these icons actually give NO extra info than what we can already tell from the character text - I know if my character is inside (the location lists the town and building in parenthesis) I know if my character is travelling (the route is shown in the text) and I know if my character is sailing (the boat name is shown)

Which makes them all a bit pointless really.

As far as I can tell, if you are hurt, it still doesn't display on the character page, which would seem the most obvious thing to display. In which case, the old faces would do fine - that'd be much more useful than the current new icons
Whoever you vote for.

Actually, the icons (and the alt text) do give a little more infomation than before. The icons tell you whether the vehicle you are in is a land or water vehicle . Granted, in most cases you will already know that , but not if you've been dragged to one since you last logged on, the textual infomation never gave that infomation . They also help differentiate between being in a stationary vehicle and being in a building.

Also the Alt Text on the icon shows whether there has been any new activity - (a textual representation of the bold name) For most players this is no different m but for some who use text to voice processing is is additional infomation - this of course could have been done with the old icons.

First - not Photoshop but Macromedia Fireworks ;)

Second - I also don't like some icons from this set and I'll change it to be more readable and understandable.

Third - this was been 'test' set but people claim me that icons looks good - so we decide to not wait...

Fourth - in .png format they looks much better than as .gif's. This mean they must be much more simple.

:) Your critics are priceless - thanks - I'll try to make it better. Therefore I'm sure again not all peaple will be happy...

I like the idea of them but they are far too blurry. Just don't try to do the shadowy part behind each of them and it would work fine.

I think the biggest problem you're facing wojd is that people have an attachment to that old smiley face. No matter how great the icons are, people miss the old faces ;)
