I know it's only a game.... trying to quote a movie.

As for the peace thing. They're your enemies, not ours. It's in Karnon's interests for its friends to stop killing each other.

Not necessarily because we're peace-loving... but when one friend owns the hematite and the other lives on the coal... it's only natural why Karnon feels the way it does.

And that's all I'll say. This is getting too in-game.

EDIT: Dude, I think I just got called an "old-timer." That makes me happy.

I must say that watching the intrigue and developments in that area are quite interesting. K isle is the only place where this could happen on this scale though, because on the larger continents, there is more then one location for the different important resources, and other islands with the right set up don't have the number of people to generate the hoarding that makes K isle so interesting.

I placed the resources for that island, if I remember correctly. :D

So I don't play there. My characters may pass through there, I wouldn't stop them for OOC reason, but I detest the entire region and I can't make myself face it unless I have to.

It really is the worst place in Cantr. Hands down...

I so agree with you, but it's hard to put into words...
Playing in the KDS is like being in a roleplaying forum. I prefer playing the society simulator, Cantr.

Give me Quillanoi, anyday.

Interesting. I've never been on such a forum, so I only have preconceptions of what they'd be like, but I have trouble seeing the accusation. Maybe it's because my characters there have made quick runs for informed (sort of) positions where they can see things being done? Leaders are pretty secretive around there, as a rule.

Is it things like the Nosse (which my characters have no problem with, but I can't imagine playing a character in) or is it something else?

Of my English characters, the first two spawned in places named "Seatown" and I've had two others spawn in the general area as well. But it's a huge area, so it's hard to be really prejudiced against the whole thing.

One of my two characters who actually have intrigue in their lives lives there. The other lives on K Isle.

It really isn't.

I hate the whole region.

I quite like other areas of the island. But KDS?

No. Just no.

But why? I'm not disagreeing (yet, at least) I'm just trying to understand.

K Island is the best region. The hematite/limestone 'cold war' thing that is happening now is great! You wont get that in KDS.

Haha. You sure won't.

There's no really touchy tribe controlling one and a government reactionarily withholding access to the other, in KDS.

I hate to break West's sarcasm to you, but that's the truth.

And as Mortaine was saying, that region encompasses Krif, KHW, KHE, KHW, Drojf, DHS, DHN, DHW, SG, SF, Stwn & SH, 12 locations, all with slight but real differences between them. If you're complaining about OOC biased culture, I only see it in one group there. If you're complaining above lovey lovey RP, that's all over Cantr, from Lake Village to Timbuktu. If you're bitching about tension, backstabbing and plotting on such an arena (especially of ol', when Maynard, MacGregors and Maily were the trio at hand), then that's only been repeated recently on K island and other places as well. Plus, not all of those locations are involved in these 'power politics'. It is one of the prime spots for society simulating and roleplay in Cantr.

Now, if you're irritated by my character's writings about and in the Region, that's another story. :-P
