LOL!

Don't mind me. I just found it funny that Nick should complain about people abusing bugs, when he abuses or at least has abused bugs himself.

I don't think that would be appropriate, it sounds confidential....

 I wouldn't be surprised.

It's funny to see people complain merely when their characters are afflicted with a disadvantage. Because, that's life, and characters should learn to deal with it (and not always rely on the works of God/Magic/Programmers).

Anyways, Bugs in Cantr are not always clearly bugs, to most players (including myself). If something like handing stuff off from vehicles repeats itself, for the whole time I have played Cantr (years) and hasn't been resolved, we are forced to play with it...and make up excuses.

And my explanation made sense- take these instances for example:

(Sensical)

You're on a roadtrip, and you stop 5 minutes for gas. That could be compared to stopping by a person walking, and delivering them a note/item from the car.

(Mechanical)

Keep in mind that in Cantr, project % are calculated once a Cantr hour, meaning you can go inside, chat, come back out, and still be doing work on that project. This should be the same way for Cantr road mechanics.

But then again, Nick would probably be too stubborn and biased to even acknowledge this reasoning.

Jon, that was an excellent, constructive post. Mostly.

Please remove the last line; insulting others is not something we want on the forums.

It's not insulting if it's true. People call me idiotic and immature, and it's true :)

Jon, chill out. You're just a grumpy dude who is contributing nothing to Cantr except whining and complaining.
Stop being so immature.

But the same is true for walking. Your progress is only calculated on the hour and in between you have time to chat with people, hunt animals or engage in fighting other travellers, except you are not allowed to drop or give away goods.

I think that is an unnecessary limitation of pedestrians. Traveling faster does not mean you are allowed to have more possibilities for activities between the hours. You are 'more busy travelling'.

According to Jos, both veichle travellers and pedestrians should be able to pass things between themselves.

Thats the way alot of people are it feels. They don't mind it when people use the bugs, until they get used on them. I honestly didn't think it was a bug and that it was meant to be that way. I mean, I don't remember any official rulling on the first topic we had on this a while back.

And I didn't use the bug. On Nick that is. But I did give a bit of food to a starving girl. Since I picked apart the point that makes it a bug, the fact that Nick couldn't give the stuff back, I justified it as even if she could have given the food back, she didn't want to. She was asking us for food, and I said why not.

Now if you want to smack my wrists for it, go ahead. But as I see it, I did nothing wrong and I still haven't.

I wouldn't like to see you accused of using or not using this bug. I would like to see this feature changed in the programming.

Refer to my previous post. Jos said that you're supposed to be able to pass things on the road.
Considering that character asked for food, I highly doubt he wouldnt want to accept your resources.
My character, on the other hand, wouldnt be too happy about being handed 10kg of stone.

Your character would not mind now that you know that his speed is not affected. Vehicles and people should start their journey emptyhanded and be loaded by vehicular friends as soon as they left a settlement. That way you are travelling as fast as an unburdenned person while hauling large amounts of gear.

Actually, according to Anthony this was changed some time ago.
