So why has Latin been added as an option on the front page?

Oh, and I might be able to help on the translating front... what exactly is involved?

The only reason is that I switched it from a manually edited list of languages to an automatic one :) ... Since Latin is available for the languages department, it's listed on the front.

But Junesun can tell you more, I presume ;) ...

Thanks for that... what I meant was: Is it just translating the English Cantr to Latin? Just translation?

From what I understand, that is the case. You'll be translating terms from English to Latin, (i.e. iron to ...okay, I'm not an etymologist so I don't know the latin route to the modern English word for that metal, but that's what you'd plug in) as well as phrases/sentences (for the instructions you see in game as well as the welcome page). Of course, during gameplay, you'd have to understand Latin good enough to reply in it. This is from my understanding, though I am prone to mistakes.

I highly doubt they'd make you translate it from English to Mandarin Chinese then into Latin, but you never know.;)

Is there a Latin word for tandem bikes?

My knowledge of Latin is just about nil so I'm just guessing here, but with Latin being a dead language and all could translating some of the more modern terms be a problem?

Sorry for refresh old topic.I have learn latin per 1,5 years and know some rules, and 10-20 words, but I have a dictionary and all gramatic rules.I register participation,if in Cantr someones make latin locations I willingly(latin=libenter I remember :D) make character, but I don't have enough knowledge to be a translator  I have a latin-polish dictionary and I see a lot of modern words it's no t a problem.

Ps.Some people think:English is easy language but it's not true,we Poles also don't know what does it mean peen hammer, hammer with nose?

Something like this(in polish=kombinerki)
Image
or this(pol.=kilof)
Image
or hammer which also have from second side this(smaller) ?(pol.=łom)

The second tool there appears to be a pickaxe. The third, a crowbar. I'm not sure what the first on is, but it doesn't appear to be a hammer of any sort.

I'm not sure, but I believe a peen hammer as a round ball at least on one end, if not on both.

Hmmmm, what's the destination of this bizarre hammer with bowl? It's amazing if english-speaking people's not certain for the meaning, and this tool is using in Cantr, maybe this tool is too rare.I think in Cantr is too much kind of hammer

Perhaps like this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball-peen_hammer

As opposed to the more common hammer like this:
