Firstly I disagree. It's my right to point out that at the moment it's bad to kill lots of chars as it hurt the game, well it always will. I know which char of yours you mean Mitch. And unlike what you think, I was looking forward to seeing how your char would make it work. I'm not against people rping bad chars. I am against pointless killing without rp reasons, and no rp reasons like I want to kill doesn't count with me. I think the less you kill the less fast you will get killed.

Secondly, most important is to put chars in town above the town and the leader, as in take care of them. Give them something to do and not just go work on some cooking project for a few days. no help them find a job they will want to do. Keep people happy and try to become friends with the people in town. They will feel more connected that way. lol I could write a loooonnng time about this :D Maybe for a guide :P
There is no rule that says I can't post as much I want. I asked my lawyer.

Been there, tried that., still trying, giving away all that is needed to start a business... in what ever form they would wish, only to watch them fall asleep and starve. Trying to encourage different activities that involve more than working.. meh.. no luck, maybe I'm just not good enough at it.

I think Cantr is a game that by design discourages bad guys that are pure evil. This is because if you are evil, you are in more danger than good guys at getting killed. For example, bad guys are constantly back stabbed by other bad guys, bad guys are not welcome in towns, and bad guys doing bad things to people causes people to unite around a coalition to kill the bad guy. This risk over time adds up significantly and has caused 99.9% of bad characters to either reform after suffering the cantr consequences, or die.

This I think is a problem because the fight between organized groups of good and evil people in cantr is now gone and the game has become a little dull. So, I propose that people get used to the idea of having 1 or 2 evil characters at all times. Let's see what happens in the game after that

Well, this is roleplay, despite what you think. Everybody in this organization are treated as a family, and we all help each other as a whole to survive. We just steal and kill for profit as well ;D

Find a way to get them to feel like they're the ones in the right and you'll be in business. And since your character is bad, a well-thought out lie could do nicely.

I wish you well...I have characters who would love to have a run-in with some sort of criminal organization. With that said, I don't condone the killing of well-played characters whether they be good or bad. There's already plenty of death in Cantr. In my opinion, (and no, I don't expect anyone to consider my opinion as the absolute way that everyone must play their characters) it would be much more fun to play an extended game of cat and mouse, coming from both sides, than it would be to simply kill off a character and cut off any possibility of future rp in that given storyline. Some of the good rp takes months or even years to set up...by that point so many characters are long gone because of heart attacks that it's disappointing to see the dead end in the thing you spent a lot of time setting up.

So, like Mitch says, if I'm in the situation where one of mine has a character captured, I'd probably find a way to let that character go, even if I have to make it look like it was an accident, unless, of course, there's evidence that the character is murderous themselves. Or if I get some OOC whining message from a prisoner my character hasn't yet touched and who refuses to play the part of prisoner at least for a little while...that's a surefire way of getting a character killed. If you're going to play the part, play the part. That's my bit of advice.

If one of my chars that I like the most would be killed, no matter if it was "good role play" or not, I think I'd stop playing Cantr. I have put so much effort and feelings in some of them and they have struggled so hard that I would find it meaningless to go on playing.

Exactly the reason why I'm forcing myself to develop a few of my others, just in case something happens.
