And the reason Hamil killed Gartaf was becuase Gartaf made Hamil kill his girlfriend.

My rather subtle point was that you're not the only person to have a character who survived from Hamil's realm.

 I had to exaggerate the number. No let me go count :p

Ok i counted here are the numbers.

1. Tor Wauki
2. Eyon Hamil
3. Qzzy Verlan
4. Jflario
5. Me- Jacob Cougar
6. Celin
9. Origis Provectus
10. Charley
11. Alex
12. Ereinion Gil-Galad
13. Cathy Fox
14. Micah Esau
15. Taraku Shinobi

Number 13 Cathy Fox was awol so she still lives i think. Out of the rest my character number 5 still lives but barely.

*edit* Reading Camino's post tells me that Cathy Fox lives :p i meant in the attack on king hamils kingdom *shrugs* Oh well. Where is Cathy anyway?

Tor never wanted a part in any of the empire, but he couldn't refuse gartaffs offer in Xiria forest many years ago, all he wanted was to go back to naron someday, that and write history books....*sniff* they killed him on his 40th birthday too. Oh well i love how volatile this area has become.

Wasn't like Tor could refuse Gartaf's offer since refusing would have mostly likely meant his death. So I guess it is good that Gartaf's offer was good enough for him to accept and keep him from ending up a corpse then again perhaps accepting Gartaf's offer would have prevented him from being killed at the hands of Alenz Hills.

She's not dead yet. I forsee the second golden age....*what am I saying I hate this place*
Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.

And this leads me to another point and a very good point. The point of life is to dodge the bullet persay. There is someone right now carrying a bullet for you and doesn't even know it. Now the trick of living is to die of old age before that bullet finds you. The same anology can be used in Cantr but just switch it with crossbow bolt (or quarrel), arrow, or some sharp, pointy object etc... I bet most characters (minus death due to unsubscribing or inactivity) have died by getting killed. No character has as of yet dodged the bullet and found death at the hands of old age.

And before West points out, yes the above mention is a Firefly anology. I just thought it fit very well with the point I was trying to make.

Lol, yeah I just wonder what will happen to all the books he had started...it will be kind of interesting to see where they end up.

From what i saw i dont think they will go very far. Saw alot of notes being picked up after some of the killings, so i think they just made it to the nearest trash envelope. :x Im always a fan of the cantr literature though, how many stoires and books are floating around?

The ones that come to mind are always Glen's Novels.

But outta my char's, only one has ever made a detailed data index. The rest have made laws and other basic writings, which aren't too interesting.

"A Tale of the Road" will come out in its full version fairly soon.

If that's the fundamental point of an average citizen's life in the modern world, where most die of old age, disease, maybe accidents. They suffer from extreme paranoia and delusional false senses of insecurity. A very narrow view. Even for a soldier in modern warfare... most live into old age, they don't die... at least the ones with the modern weaponry.

Such a polemic might be useful in a volatile society and possibly the ancient past... I don' t see how it bears out too well in modern society. Or was I missing the thrust of it completely. I agree that in Cantr it is a useful polemic.
