I have 5 characters over 100. I don't rp them as old in physical sense, though more a mental I've been through so much life wisdom...sometimes
When your character is 110, much stronger than average and an expert fighter it's a little hard to rp him sitting in a chair knitting. They age but not at human rate.

I don't think so, old people only get ugly when they're sick or malnourished. ...I miss my grandma.
Oh, I don't mean that they should be all rp'd perfect looking. Mine are far from it in my mind. They're beautiful in their own ways.. I'm just saying, I don't see that it's a physical thing that's greatly noticed by graying hair or wrinkles... which I don't find ugly either. Nor do I find aging bad. It's more that their long life shows in the shadows of their eyes or the way they hold themselves. It's more of a presence I guess. It's hard to explain. I also like the idea Kronos has about it taking longer than it would for real people.
And I was thinking more about what was said about how the "in their twenties" thing means that there's something obvious... That text is just for a guideline to the players. Your char does not necessarily know that they're in their 20's or 30's... you can RP them as unsure... so, no, it wouldn't be telepathic... and no, it wouldn't be a physical attribute that is highlighted, circled in red and screaming "old person!".
It's kind of like the "Barbie says:" or "you see Barbie slap Dr. Cox"... they're there... but whether your char notices it or not or how they interpret it is up to how the player wants to interpret the guidelines set there for them.
Yea, Barbie said that.. it's a fact to the player.. but did your char hear her when it was lost in thought? And she slapped Dr. Cox.. but... did your char see it, or was your char busy introducing the new employee to the others?
Oh... and *hugs Seko* I'm so sorry about your grandma. I miss my grandpas too.
