well since the 4 day thing has been way past heres a little more of the sring sri plan, well no one is going to have a boat off the dhung island anymore. soon we will be building a coaster harbor in every town that is by the sea to lock all the boats from coming into the island and to prevent them from leaving hehehehe
dhung will become a natural alcatraz!
"I think I am wearing a raccoon instead of a fur loin cloth!" O_O poor raccoon....

As someone mentioned, people are already trying to get themseves killed, by the dozen, all the time. Now, no one is going to want to live there. There's always an exception but the island already had trouble getting characters to not kill themselves. If I didn't want to conform, and I was being held against my will, my character would just lay down and die/get killed. I'm glad you guys shared you perspective on it but I still don't agree.

While killing off your own characters is taboo I think I understand the reasons behind it. Some comments on this isalnd and game goverments as a whole...
Some people will not engage where they are spawned unless there is a goverment ready to give them tools, or weapons to be a guard, sheriff, or ranger. The change may support this depending on how things are done. Consider that you may have to be the pinoeer who sets up the system to make this happen. I prefer places that are in their intial stages of development "What we really need is some iron".
Some people will not engage if they are not given absolute freedom to gain whatever they want such as big weapons. That freedom never existed there so that does not change. Consider that IRL very few have the bug weapons. If one of yours does than that is enough. And in Cantr with the constant massacre train it is reiforced not to let people get weapons to do that with.
Some just like being independent for indpenedence sake. This is the group that will view things as worse. There is nothing wrong with wanting this. Consider that half the world does not have as much freedom as most of us do. So if half of your characters are free than the other half could serve. This goes for places like Lad too.
Some people will not engage if they see that the general plan is pretty hopeless. At different point in the past things were pretty hopeless. If you can deal with the goverment there is at least hope in bettering oneself. Many liberal Cantr goverments do not have that need set up.
Some people do not enage if there is nothing "interesting" being done. This may change now.
Some people run from RP chit chat. There is less people now
Some people won't engage in silent places becuase they feel they are being ingnored when no one talks back. There is less people now this may or may not get worse.
Some will not take part unless they get to call the shoots at least on a peice of things. This could change unless there is already enough people doing this in the new goverment.
It may be difficult but try to take part wherever you wind up. Things change quickly a place that stinks today might get better in a month. I am having less problems taking part where I wind up at than I had in the past. I am also less attached to characters than I used to be. But I haven't forgotten how I felt in the past.

JJ that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Boats can undock without being in a coaster harbour. You can dock without being in a coaster harbour too. Get it straight.
Secondly,I wanted to mention that Squire Grant person that used to be on the island....all of the people that knew he died and mentioned it in Bhak..are liars. They could not have known he died since he passed away on a boat with my character Ruby Dumas on the Federation boat leaving Shai.
Also, the island is so boring that it won't really be anything either, even the new people will eventually realize "hey this is not fair, one person is lording over the iron" They will not remain ignorant sheep and cute cattle forever.
There can't be more than 30 people left on the entire island now, there is a point in time when the killing becomes "overkill." This is the point where I have to say enough is enough, and really the rules of the game should destroy this little hell hole. The characters involved with Dev are in it for the hoarding, for the glory of killing, for the feeling of power rushes and most of all to see the pathetic newspawns trudge about.I'm very fed up with that island,I sincerely hope that my character is somehow killed there or gets to leave before that does happen. One or the other is good.

You are just like every other person on that island, trying (or hoping) to get yourself killed because you haven't the skill or patience to gain those in powers trust or would rather have a new character somewhere surrounded by free resources and daisies for all.
I understand people getting passionate about the death of a beloved character or wanting to participate in a enjoyable game, but work alittle harder in making the island fun instead of comdemning it and running away. In this game there are no winners or losers or goals except those set by us, the story tellers... so please continue to post your opinions, they are fun to read... but remember that the next time one of your characters in power does anything that restricts others in the least bit, you are the same as those in power on Sring-Sri.
How much kill is overkill? 1,2,3,4,5? Just let me know so I don't step over this totally subjective, arbitrary line you have set for all of us. You don't like whats happening in Bhak? Tell me one interesting thing that has happened on that island besides people building boats to leave, the friction between Dhung and everyone else, and no this take-over. Nothing. Go bake some more bread.
I will write my story and live my characters lives as I see fit.

I have no chars on Sring-Sri Island right now, and haven't in awhile, I wish I did!
I can't believe everyone is always crying about how bad sring-sri is, someone mentioned it being a potential colonial power like britain, I mentioned awhile back that it may be more like Imperial Japan, I think it will be more like Imperial Japan, cause I think it will be more insular instead of a bit more open like the british empire...
I really am sick of hearing people saying how much they hate X place, so I just commit suicide or find some other way out... you have FIFTEEN characters, its not like your being restricted to 1 or 2 chars, and to belly ache over a few locs where they aren't handing out free tools to everyone is shameful. You should see it as an OPPORTUNITY, to do something to better a frontier... If the char gets massacred, such is life, but that doesn't mean oh I'm running home and taking all my toys, there is a reason you have FIFTEEN characters... I really am getting impatient with this viewpoint that every place should be settled or peaceful and nice to live in for your char, remember you aren't you char, things going wrong for a char can be interesting, and even if it isn't very interesting for your char, by dying prematurely, you have FIFTEEN chars, some less but still alot.
I know I might get the response "well I don't have 15 chars I can't play 15 chars" You can have several that a relatively inactive food gathering and travelling characters that take practically no RL time to manage, just in case some of your actives die.
Basically what a lot of people are asking for is identical situations for every economic opportunity etc... with possibly some different culutral elements and organization for flare... the truth is there are a lot of brutal locations, where substenance living is the order of the day. and development is slow.
What I see at Sring-Sri Island now is FINALLY a possible forging of a unified island which I have been dreaming of for over a RL year OOC. But half of what I hear is self-centred whining. This _could_ be a new age for Sring-Sri island, an island that may eventually throw its weight around over seas, making for some VERY interesting RP... But no... as usual most people can't see past their own nose...

Bowser, you don't know exactly why I feel this way,so don't bother assuming. I unlike others in the game cannot have anymore characters, I repeat I cannot have more characters. So I am not looking to to get a new character somewhere else. I am simply saying that the pointless take overs are ridiculous now.I simply stated my opinion about what I hate about Bhak,I never said that you had to change what you were doing or how you played your characters. I said that it's ridiculous, not that you had to give up playing your characters. I am displaying outrage, and I have no power to change those that don't wish to.Overkill to me is when you can see a town and there is noone there,I went through Shai and there were about 2 people there looking sick and maybe one other that had good health.Overkill is when there are enough people upset about it to actrually comment on this board. To me that is overkill, when there are a mass of complaints like this.
