After Erin died, everyone was getting restless and feeling angry towards the island (I think there was a bit of restlessness before that, too). So many people viewed them as such horrible people and overexaggerated so many things they did. It was basically, "Okay, you thought we were bad when we weren't really doing anything worse than any other power on the island, so here you go, this is what you wanted, isn't it? We'll be the big bad monsters you made us out to be."

And what Nick actually did or did not do in Kirinn was almost irrlevant. Just the fact that Kirinn was proven so vulnerable, and it has been 'liberated' twice more post-tbr, made Kwor nervous enough to mobilise forces, and it was past conflicts I'd suppose that got Karnon and the DeDannans to go along to Burgeo to engage there before TBR had a chance to come back.

I'd really like to hear from the player of Jeremiah Cross of Kirinn. That char's weapons shop had been raided when he returned just after Nick et al left. He was very influential in exaggerating reports of the 'massacre' there, and in inspiring younger people in Kwor to revenge, when they really knew nothing of the history on the island.

Written from a character's perspective.

I was happy to take on any mission given to me by TBR. Were we at war with the island? Were we the instigators? I'd say we weren't no award winning neighbors, thats for sure. I'd go as far as to say that I was never invovled in anything that wasn't shady. Every order I was given had something sneaky going on. Actually, it was one of these missions that saved my life. I never did like Blackrock Forest and never thought I was truely accepted. Ever since Ethan died, I was out of place and misunderstood.

I had risked my life on numerous missions on K-Isle.

I was sent on a spy mission to Karnon, ""I want you to travel
to Karnon, to investigate for presence of the Collective. But I need you to be subtle about it. That is the real purpose of the voyage, but your "purpose" is to inform Chief Senator Jules Vernes that the wood has been added to the harbour."

I was sent on a mission to kidnap a De Dannan or a Suzuma, I barely escaped the retreat, but not leaving until I made sure to aquire healing foods and lead a fellwo lady TBR out of there to safety. It was on the path back that Firecam took out Ethan.

I returned to Blackrock Forest (returned is the wrong word, because I had never been there.) The place was run like a military outfit. Follow orders and don't talk back. I was locked up 3 times for telling jokes. I hated Razer. how could that fancy pants, ole world talking jerk get more respect than me when he wasn't even in the tribe. I tell a dirty knock knock joke and I get locked up, he threatens to shooot me infront of everyone and gets a wrist slap.

************************************************************
He wrote me:
Ye do no be my friend, Buffy. But if ye would like, one o' me arrows would like to be makin' yer close acquaintance th' next time ye do feel like actin' the fool.

Wi' love an' kisses, Razer

I replied:
Razor,
Im gonna be kicking your ass the minute I get out of this detention center.

*********************************************************
I learned to keep my mouth shut as best I could, but life got more and more boring. I was happy to sail away to Burgeo. It may have been mentioned that we were going to regroup, heal, and sometime in the future head back to reclaim our rightful place, or maybe we were just gonna start all over on Burgeo, i know both plans were mentioned, so you can't know for sure if either were set in stone.

Lucky for me, Styles drove off on a motorbike and was away for a while so Nick sent me to find him. Let's just send Buff on foot to chase a motorbike, that will work. He'll either outrun you or you will have to search every place on the island if he is dead. I did that, i walked the whole island, do yo uknow how long it takes to walk to each region on that island? and when I returned, there stood Commander Blaire and his hot wife. I think she liked me. Needless to say they tried to capture me and take me back to Karnon to be held on trial for war crimes, but they can't catch Buff. They even tried to say a chick named Melissa was back in Karnon asking about me. That one almost worked.

Let's be honest... TBR lost solely because of a misjudgment on the part of Nicki Blackrock. We weren't close enough to dock instantly and luck chose to turn on us at that moment. The luck Steven suddenly didn't have was remarkable, but those things happen in Cantr (generally to me >.<).

Now, before someone jumps in and shouts me down... Steven and Nicki were TBR (and Rose, but she couldn't fight). If they hadn't died then, they would have stayed alive until either they made the docking mistake again or had been victorious. Don't fool yourself into thinking anything else, that is the simple truth.

As for cheating, or accusations of it: I am now convinced it happened on both sides. To suggest otherwise is either very brave or simply misguided... you can decide that for yourselves.

My biggest regret? That Commander Blaire's obscene luck shielded him from certain death on more than one occasion. *sigh* Infuriating... would have loved to kill him...

You guy are all lucky you had particpated in the war. Not only did I not get to participate in it, my character, Pink, got killed at around the same time the war happened. She didn't even get the chance to know the aftermath of the war.

Two chars of mine were involved in the whole thing, one a blackrock, and one a Karnon Commander.

Stylez Blackrock was invited to join Tribe Blackrock after taking down a suicidal thief for Nicki. At that time, Nick was still a mogul, and Deacun Kimp had just recently left to set up an oupost near Kwor. He started off smelting metals in the TBR Headquarters with a couple other tribesmen. The trio was really, very good at it. Stylez actively aided in the takeover of the Forest, particularily in capturing Norbert Billington and the near capture of Rick O'Shea. Nobody died in the conflict, infact only a couple swords were swung. He was then sent on a mission with a hand picked task force under Ethan's command, to take out Suzima De Dannan. He ended up decieving Colonol on a KDF road, and killed him in a one-on-one battle. He participated in the Kwor Beach raid, but was captured as Firecam intervened. Spider and his oafs had already kiled one Blackrock aboard their ship, and Stylez acknowledged stood no chance against 4 armed men plump full of onions. He turned over his weapon and crowbar, gave some half-true answers to their questions, and survived through Kwor Prision.

He negotiated his way out while everyone was gone, and quickly fled, laying low where he could. He found people that could help him, and learned his wife was imprisoned in Karnon. He left the man with a message to his wife, and left to Kirrinn, whom he thought may have been neutral in the matter. When he arrived, he found some of the Kirinn Guardians that had been stationed in Karnon Forest. He quickly found them to be verbaly hostile, but since he was unarmed, he was safe from any physical threat. To his suprise, a large ship called the Wolves Wrath docked, and Rau Nicki Blackrock emerged from the harbour. Re-United with he brothers and sisters, and fearing his wife's death, Stylez happily hopped aboard and joined them. Though I don't believe a fight was primarily intended, something happened and they ended up having a little battle with Kirinn, in which Stylez happily executed the Guardian that was giving him headaches days before.

When they landed on Burgeo, Nick named Stylez and another to be his seconds-in-command, and Stylez recieved a motorbike. Unfortunatly, he died in his travels, and couldn't help his Tribe battle the invading force in Burgeolip itself.

(Excuse the earlier long post... I got carried away :? )

My second was Commander Zandy Harrin, the odd and proud Commander of Unit 4. He was part of the non-eventful march on Karnon Forest, which turned out to be nothing more than a hot headed shoving match by a couple youngsters in the ranks. The group of Karnon Soldiers then went to the Seaside, and aided in the construction of the Imperial Fleet. Zandy was good at it, and thought about becoming a shipbuilder after the war was over.

When the coalition fleet was grouping up at Kwor, that crazy Ex-Blackrock with the bad grammar was there, causing a ruckus. The little standoff went on for a few hours, with the same demands being repeated over and over, never to find a successful conclusion. Sick of this, Zandy stepped forward, and took the ex-Blackrock's woman (she hadn't spoken a word during the whole affair), and held his sword to her throat, much to the shock of his comrades  It worked. The crazy Ex-Blackrock gave in, and the fuss was settled. He commanded a landing team to Burgeo, but was killed by crossbows almost instantly as they landed. He may have been one of the first casualties of the battle. I'll never know.

I play a (still-living) important figure in Karnon, and I can honestly say that aside from Dee, I may have had the most uneventful account of this war.

My character was transferred from a roving unit to "home defense" after the death of the original home defense commander. I still, from her perspective, only know that TBR isn't on the island anymore and that Naleph Nayr is dead.

I was genuinely sad when I found that out.

From an island standpoint, not very much news has come back from the war front, and most of the population of Nonirowk remains mostly uninformed.

Andur O'Shan. Hands down most influential person in the Burgeo aspect of the war, esp. of those that survived it.

Lucinda D'Loreanne came across that bike - and it was her saviour. She had almost been finished off by boars, and she found that they wouldn't come near her when on that bike.

She had no qualms in taking and using the bike, knowing it was and ex-TBR bike. She had only heard bad things back in Kwor where she had stayed before setting off, and wasn't too taken by them during previous encounters on and off K-Isle

She used the bike to complete her map of Burgeo, vastly faster than she had expected to do by foot.
She had already completed a pixel-perfect map of K-Isle and it's coast, and only now have to navigate the coast of Burgeo Isle and she would have a very accurate sailing map of the region (and the first map she knew of to list every location on Burgeo).

On returning to Burgeorgiallip Nhralls, her boat, the Intrepid Destiny, was no longer there.
She found her boat on the coast down the road (with people she guessed might be TBR after her brief stay in the area previously), with a new lock, and immidiately offered the bike in exchange for the return of her boat (she was in no condition to fight).

Despite the offer, and some initial agreement and welcomes, Lucinda was set-upon by a very agitated young lady, and so Lucinda tried to flee, unsuccessfully...

I always wondered what happened to Erin. She essentially ran the tribe, from what Balyard could tell. I found her to be a very interesting character. She came a long way from being a librarian.

I would also like to add that as a player, I was struck by the extent TBR were treated as allies and saviors by the Burgeo natives in the region. When Tyson left Burgeo, I was convinced that the native's loyalty to the Blackrocks was so complete, that Burgeo would forever harbor hostilities towards Noniwrok, essentially perpetuating a cold war-esque situation between the two islands.

However, I've heard through the grapevine that it actually seems that the Noniwrok powers that be are now carving up Burgeo for themselves, leading to a type of pre-WWI colonialism. Very interesting. I've always like hot wars better than cold ones.

Erin died upon reaching Fu Put after what took years of sailing to get there.

I'll just say again, the war was lost purely because they ran out of healing foods and that was the bare fact of it. When Steven and Rau Nick were fighting their final battles they did that without any healings. The rest still fighting onland were injured and had simply no healings left making them weaker. I still have quite a few day reports going back to when my character ran through Karnon and onto Blackrock Forest witnessing the army grouping together for their assult on the forest and even trying to trade there before managing to reach Blackrock forest through the fields and eventually leaving the island with the blackrocks until these present days. I am currently writing it up best i can as i get the time, so thats why i havn't revealled much here but your talking nearly over two decades of events now.

And on another note Sorry Hf. My char simply couldn't let that boat go. Not with everything else that wasn't tied down or worn stripped and stolen including every resourse almost but dung which Captain Andur gave as a present on leaving, everything else including ivory, weaponry and much needed tools and the only healing and eggs plus all the boats made gathered or ever earned by the Blackrocks were stolen from the last remaining or claimed back as Kwors so the spoils of war goes. They were left with nothing, spat at and told they should and will die because the last remaining would beat others to death with a stick to get what they wanted by the charming Captain Andur (who is played excellently by the way and an accent that just fits his ways perfectly). He wanted total Annihilation and if it wasn't for the likes of General Woody Blair leading the forces and his wife and people he would have killed the last remaining quite happily, regardless of where they stood or what got them involved to start. But the peace treaty was signed and he couldn't continue his killing, because of that fact only.
The way my char saw it Hf was, yours rode into town on the Howler with some bad timing. Being not long after Captain Andur and Coco had left and just after suffering yet another attack from others late in the war arriving in town onfoot shouting. "You are ******* Blackrock and you will die for your crimes" My char almost getting killed at that point by a well aimed crossbow from Pamela and a Gentleman from the allied armies till mine ranted for ages and not very politely about the recent war treaty. Commander Blair at that point had days before only just left and was on his way sailing to catch Bryon Blackrock who had arrived and docked just at the time peace talks were being held and from him killing Pink, it was still chaos there. Pamela took one of the last of the longboats claiming that for themselves and taking it back to Noniwrok with a few dead victims from Kwor with her. Lucinda then arrived and was after a boat now aswell. One which Ron had been using for sailing for years from what i remember. In fact mine had thought Ron had turned sides at one point because he was sailing off somewhere when the war was happening and not involved in the fighting, he didn't want a war, not many that were there really did but were forced to fight it. Ron turned up ashore mid war action and mine spotted him and had him dragged inside, to which he ran straight back out and disappeared because he had a key to Austins. So then mine almost hit a panic then, was he a traitor, did they now have the Austin building keys. Mine had come out of Austins to see Ron talking quietly to Nayr on one of their docking attacks, just before getting him dragged inside.(Plenty of near dragging and killings happened in the war but thats a long story)anyway Ron wasn't a traitor and had been trying to organise healing foods as we found out later, but decided it best off back to sea because he didn't know what the hell was going on at that point with the tribe or the war.

Well anyways. Lucinda had arrived looking like she had been given a gorilla hug too many maybe 60 to 70% health already gone, so mine had to decide quickly. Lose another boat leaving them stranded on Burgeo with nothing but a dinghy left if they did, but gain a motorbike which belonged to the Tribe anyway. Or to just take her out with a Claymore because she carried such injuries already. Mine conspired inside with the others while outside being polite and welcoming, asking questions about the travels Lucinda had taken till Mine knew enough were awake to take her out swiftly. When i had responses from those awake and ready. Mine looked up and called her a traitor, claiming she had murdered Stylez for the bike and carried his weapons that she was there to steal what little we had left and if the boat was hers she would have the key. So swords came flying from all directions and by god Lucinda dodged like a ninja from a variety of heavy weaponry, actually waking and managing to speed of on the motorbike down a path shouting loudly"You ungrateful sh*ts I brought your bike back" Mine was in a panic then, if she got away and managed to tell others the treaty was surely broken. But by pure luck an almost new newspawn woke and was given the best sword we had left. She legged it down the path and sure enough was an expert aim and finished the job of ending Lucinda. I know this happened after the war but still a few years ago now, but it's not going to be found out ingame because Lucinda's body is long gone and buried. So i feel that much can be revealled here to you without harming my character with people reading the events here, and sorry about the hard work lost on your map making. Which i was gutted on reading, because i do like well made maps.
