The Dead Character Thread

Ah, I didn't realize Blake Donovan was you. I planned to go to that car show, but, well. I never even got around to polishing up the car.

It's now been over 4 days so.....

Mercury - Started out a pirate "ish" character. She sailed for a short time. Found a friend along the way Keiran and then lost him when she found her own ship to sail alongside. They got seperated and she never found him again. She eventually settled down in Mysteria, where she had a few newspawns pop up. One of which was Jackson who she completely loved and adored. He brightened up her life every day he was awake and she spent her time trying to see that he was happy. Others spawned along the way. Some stayed, some left. And when Jackson died, her spark died as well. She couldn't get over his death and her heart gave out.

Avery of Brunoi Hills West / BrunOil - Avery gained control of the town and the oil company when her friend Acorn died. She spent her life trying to see that everyone around her was given what they needed to pursue thier hopes and dreams. She is by far one of my most generous characters. She hated for anything to be tossed aside in storage if it could be used to benefit someone else. She made many friends along the way and lost many as well. Her dearest friends were Kit and Omi, though they likely never really truly knew just how much they meant to her. As animal domestication was put into the game, the need for oil and petrol lessened and soon it wasnt near as needed as it once was. The company dwindled down to only a few involved in keeping it going (one of which was a constant asset to the company itself), and eventually her story just seemed to fade. Her love died, her company was not what it used to be, her town was quiet, and her friends come and go. And this time when the depression and lonliness felt too much, she decided to finally let go and her heart gave out as well. She died with her two closest friends at her side.


There are so many involved in the storylines with these two that I couldn't possibly mention them all. But to all those that affected their lives good or bad, you made these two characters two of those I enjoyed the most. Thank you so much for all the outstanding rp.

I am saddened to hear of both of these two amazing characters passing. Taz adored Mercury and Jackson.

Avery.. One character will be devastated to hear of her passing. Though I'm not sure she ever will unless she goes on a trip. Another character may have a party when she finds out.

Marble Forsythe died on 5218 of "depression induced starvation". This was the character whose foot was cut off by Offering when he tried to steal her ship. I copied a journal he had (his final will and testament) but my phone seems to have eaten it. Hopefully it will surface in-game and someone can post it for me.

He ended up surviving the ordeal and spent part of his life searching out the "treacherous" Offering to get his revenge. He found her later and watched her be taken prisoner only to see her take her own life (IC: Offering suffocated herself by holding her breath. OOC: she chose to die of old age instead of having her hand chopped off and be stranded on Pangea/Hislands) and so Marble became a ship captain.

Later he got lost looking for Haven and ended up on the shores of an uncharted region of Fu. He lived there for several IG years along with the crew he considered his family. They built a modest town near a topaz outpost, tamed zebras and explored the region. But eventually he went looking for Haven again, only to get lost again. He spent his last days in Sring-Sri depressed and suicidal refusing to eat.

OOC this was one of the characters I had chosen to purge recently but his IG love interest temporarily woke just when land was finally in sight. It sparked some more interest in playing the character but it was short lived. Marble was an interesting character to play with one of the craziest story arcs I've been involved in. But it had all played out and it seemed like it was time to let him go.

It definitely wasn't that. I wish Offering had waited a bit longer. That crew was entertaining and I think you would have enjoyed the experience. But I get why you did it.

Ana Johnson - a frightened young girl I spawned out of boredom one night. The hustle and bustle of Akypor was too much for her so she spent most of the time for the first year of her life hiding inside the lighthouse. Eventually she moved to the mountains and that was where she met her first and true love, Jack. A series of events led him both in and out of her life until he came back to her. Traveling the island they found riches galore and made lots of new friends. Helping newspawns when they came across them, giving most of what they found away. Though he soon passed away right in front of her, which spelled the end of the beginning. She eventually moved to a sea border town, settling down though never quite happy. Meeting Rohan and Haelyn were the highlight of her ending life. Though soon Haelyn passed and her heart grew weaker. Sleeping to escape the pain she finally admitted to Rohan her pain. Short lived he comforted her in her final moments. Promising to bury her next to her beloved Jack. He held her until her fragile heart stopped beating and she joined Jack in the afterlife.
(A side note, it was rough letting her go, but her time had come to an end.. Not the once happy and active girl she once was, but a shadow of herself. I'll definitely miss her.)

Karly Donovan - I'm not sure if she's been found yet but enough time has passed. Spawning in the mountains she grew tired of the cold and walked to the closest town by the sea. Hearing the radio she heard Blake Donovan call for a nurse. Replying it was soon agreed that she would come to him, catching a ride with a helpful captain. Though sickness was her gift in return as the sea turned her stomach inside out. Making it finally she helped Blake with everything. Soon falling in love but keeping things professional as she was afraid of being turned away. Though a doctor called and said he could fix Blake's legs, she braved the sea again for him. Confessing their love for each other while on the trip things changed when he grew better and he needed her less and less. Her purpose gone she only did what he asked of her. With his death she gave up. Her entire life had been dedicated to him and she no longer could keep going. Gene tried to help but she eventually hid inside the house and killed herself slowly, laying next to Blake.
(Will miss her as well. The RP between Blake and Karly was interesting when they both were awake at the same time.)

Blake was aware that he was going to die within 10 years but he never expected it to happen so suddenly. If he had known it was coming, he would've hurried to finish his book while he still could. It's sad that Karly felt like she was no longer needed because there are other kinds of support than physical support. Blake maybe could've expressed it better. He never felt frustrated about Karly sleeping, unlike with Needa.
