I would like to compliment these characters...

Roxanne Harlow: Really brought out the sadistic streak in one of my characters... which led to one of the most enjoyable encounters I've had in a while...

Gracie Powers: Not sure how it happened... but I think she managed to seduce one of my many characters with no interest in women (no not like that  ) Totally changed him... and manages to make the relationship resemble that first relationship in RL where you're never quite sure what to do...

Kaiyuu Meisora: Reminded an old, blind, ill recluse that bringing his faith to others was more important than solitary contemplation.

Kayleigh Ann: Showed my character that there are more important things in life than the past, and more intriguing things than power. Although he still has certain bizarre character defects...

Um... there are many others, but those are all for now... Thank you to the players of those characters, for making my life more interesting and fun. :P Thanks!

Moanique Twadre (I'm sorry, I can't spell weird names) - she makes one of my characters more worthwhile to play (even though I don't check that character as often as I mean to, sorry), and makes me laugh

John Woodhouse - I still laugh every time I hear him talk about his stone, or other "first-quality" references

I've always liked Crag Rock, though I haven't had any characters near Olipifirovash Forest for a long time

Amon Bigsby . . . even though he's not too nice, and obnoxious with his constant arguing . . .

There's a lot more, I just can't think of them at the moment.

One character I've been meaning to mention is a deaf/mute named Howto. I don't have the character I met him with anymore (from my last account), but while she was there he did a lot to make an otherwise dead town interesting.

How can you play a deaf/mute character?

Mute Character: uses a lot of ** comments.

A deaf character: uses a lot of... ** comments. That simple really, I think...

But what could they say that would be so interesting? I guess that was the real question.

Very expressive emotes, and of course he could still write. My character thought a lot of him. Also, he had a great personality; sensitive and feeling, and despite his handicaps he was obviously very intelligent (one thing I regret is that my char never had a chance to get involved in a really philosophical "discussion" with him).

How expressive can a deaf/mute person be. I understand how it could happen in rl through the reading of books someone could gain a very large vocabulary but in cantr hearing things is just about the only way to learn.

We all come with a full language when we spawn, or can if we choose. Most mutes come into the cantr world literate, so they can communicate anything they want...just not as fast as the rest of us.

Also, there's more writing around than you seem to think think...especially when people are trying to communicate with an interesting, verbally impaired character.

I'm not trying to debase the player in any way. I'm glad that he/she was able to bring life to an area. I was just mentioning the unlikliness of it all, but who cares. Cantr doesn't have to make sense.

I play a mute character and I find it very interesting. And I think he really is a great character to play, although I am not sure what it would be like if he was spawned in a different area.

I have a character that is mute as well, however she completely does not communicate in any way. She simply walks around helping others with their projects and picking up food every now and then. It was a test to see if she would be killed for not saying her name and although she was almost killed she was saved by a man who said not to kill her.

The whole deaf/mute thing makes me think of Helen Keller - deaf / blind from birth. She still learned to communicate quite well despite having only three senses, so it's definitely not impossible. I love all of those types of characters because when well played they reveal just how much we communicate through nonverbal means.

I liked to post some praise for Lippy and Hunni Hart. I was so sad that things with Kabong couldn't have worked out better. :( The trio was so much fun to play for those few days they were all together.
