He had a memory problem with names, so he kept his name simple and easier for him to remember. He also kept a detailed journal of everyone he met, with a simple picture representing them. For example, Ranger John Locke was two crossed swords.

Ah, I like that. That's a nice reason. Much apprciated!! Thank you! :D

Asp Berger 1715 2054 English
[Spawned on Omeo, and was really just to show my wife the game was interesting, by creating a character with Asperger's Disease which she deals with for work. Which is why he counted his resources in multiples of 8, and had a fascination with wood and maps that he wouldn't stop talking about. Also why he felt the need to move away from the strange people who kept doing things the 'wrong' way. Sadly, that meant he moved round Omeo and eventually was killed by wolves. At least he'd made a nice map by then. And damn hard to RP routines when I'm not here at the same time each day, and the lag stops it sometimes anyway, so perhaps death was for the best!]

Frahi Megluri 1720 1732 English
[Stole stuff. Was killed in a rather dull non-RPed manner by the town seniors.]

Krou 1892 1935 English
[Can't even remember what she did, but she was boring so she starved.]

left for dead 1943 1965 English
[Spawned in a town I had a character already on their way to, and only two towns away from another of my characters, so I just left her to die and created a different one.]

Disorder, not disease. Disease is something you get infected with and people try to cure it. AS is something you are born with and it cannot be cured (though you can learn out of some behavioral patterns). Many AS people consider the syndrome a part of their identity and would not want to change, at least completely. People with AS can differ from each other just as much as "normal" people differ from each other, you just need to fill enough of the diagnostic criteria.

Individuals with AS can exhibit a variety of characteristics and the disorder can range from mild to severe. Persons with AS show marked deficiencies in social skills, have difficulties with transitions or changes and prefer sameness. They often have obsessive routines and may be preoccupied with a particular subject of interest. They have a great deal of difficulty reading nonverbal cues (body language) and very often the individual with AS has difficulty determining proper body space. Often overly sensitive to sounds, tastes, smells, and sights, the person with AS may prefer soft clothing, certain foods, and be bothered by sounds or lights no one else seems to hear or see.

Little known

Postby Cantrian » Fri Oct 26, 2007 11:04 am

I don't know if anyone will remember most of these, but there were one or two......

Koos de Slave: starved to death in Pleakur Forest West 1035
Chase: Killed by a lion in Mulof South 1062
Gath: Killed by a woman with a claymore (wonder who that may be) in Seatown Forest 1531
Roland Cargo: Murdered by Tammy Snowe in Pok Harbour 1603
Gert de Slave: Poor guy spawned in some mountains, never saw any form of food, starved to death.
Father Piet: Murdered by Baron T
Robert Strong: Guard in Pleakuer, he was abducted and then murdered by pirates.
Samson Lightfeather: starved to death in prison in Siom 1762
Kara McPhearson: Murdered by pirates near Llanoi 1996
Philamon Sugar: Murdered by pirates at some strange island 2007

Yes, she was on her way back, with a map to the new islands she discovered when they docked to her darter and killed her.

Father Piet: Murdered by Baron T

Remember this one quite well.

Father Piet and Eomer are both still missed today. :( My character cared about them both very much.

Huh... quite a few of my "newer" characters died a while ago, due to my loss of interest in the game...

Crystal, who was on the open seas...
Selene, also on a boat...
Darkle, of Moku North, I think...
Lyssa, of a forest I can't remember the name of...
Julie, of somewhere I don't remember...
Brandon, who I think was in Siom at the time...
Jake, who was, at the time in D'Hara, and was also wanted by the Lad. Empire...

There were more... but I don't remember the rest...

It was kind of sad for me when Mordecai Hardhat starved. I liked the character, even if I don't have the hours or the energy to waste on this game anymore in order to maintain him properly.

I have quite a few good characters that I can't give enough attention to to keep their characters presented. Not that it matters a whole lot lately. Quiet, quality characters seem to just get buried under hunting messages, sneezes, and the screaming rabble of melodrama and OOC accusations floating across the cortex.
