Re: The Dead Character Thread

That's sad. One of my characters was among the many who had a secret crush on her.

Mara will be missed, though she was rather silent as of late.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I forgot to post this, it happened in October 2013 but I wanted to wait a little longer so that people who knew her would have a chance to find out ingame, but a year and a half irl is a bit too much. Bernadine Aikens killed herself on 4128. She lives in Baaak Hills South for the best part of her life but eventually couldn't find a reason to keep on living. She went away so that the people she cared about wouldn't have to watch her die. I don't know if they ever found out what happened to her.

Sancho Velasquez died on 4513 as I felt his story was at an end, and his partner of many, many years was lost to the sleeping sickness. I know that her player's account has since timed out, so they are both re-united.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
Oh, yeah, this thread exists. Gill Mitchels, the first character of mine to die, spawned in Dom Hofran and felt generally ignored and bored for the first few years of his life. He built up a nice supply of raw potatoes and started walking, hoping to learn more about the world. He intended to trade to stay alive, but found most towns deserted, and so scavenged instead, until he reached Hillman, and became allied with the man who lived there.
He still spent much of his time traveling on foot, and met various people on the road. He brought together separated lovers, saved the lives of strangers, drew maps, and made friends in small towns as he traveled through.
Hillman eventually started to die off, and after his last map-making run, he returned to find that his friend Jeb was gone. He spent a few years searching for Jeb before falling into a depression. He was woken briefly from that depression when he was attacked by pirates, but he managed to escape and survive. Less than a year later, however, another group of pirates successfully caught him, and were unwilling to let him live.
He died wishing he had at least found Jeb's body, if he indeed was dead, and regretted that he'd be unable to keep the promises he made to the towns he had befriended earlier.
I regret the recent mistakes I have made in playing him, although I suppose it was more in-character the way things happened. He was just on the verge of possibly becoming interesting again, but that chance was taken away from me.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I'm sorry I let them all just drop dead, logging in was just to hard... just writing this is difficult. I am alive, but I will leave out the public drama. Thank you all for the fun. I may return one day, we'll see. Again.. I am so sorry to all of you that I just let them sleep for so long.. I really hoped I was going to get back to play..

We will be expecting you back Sunni. Be well and safe in the less green world.

Though I'm unsure if I had chars with yours this time around Sunni, I know this is a huge loss to the game. I'm sorry to see you go.

Jack Hyland, notorious sock thief, died unable to find that magical place he was looking for, that place he would call home.
He died sleeping and left behind a mountain of designed clothing and precious stones behind.
Of all my male characters, he was the one I enjoyed the most. I wish I'd not let so many sleep to death.
