I just realized it has a memory leak. I just killed the process at 338 052 K of allocated memory. Booting it up again, it allocates about 36 980 K and then allocate chunks of 4 K a little now and then.

So, what are you saying? If my cpu is lagging, kill CS?

Curses.

Could you tell me the operating system, CantrSpy version and Adobe AIR version where this occured?

If CantrSpy starts to use excessive amounts of memory, the problem should be (temporarily) allayed by restarting the application. In my experience, the difference is only noticeable when it's been running for a few days, but I haven't yet seen the most recently reported behaviour.

Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit

I have no idea where I can see AIR or CantrSpy version.

It has the same behavior on my home laptop with Windows 7 Home.

On Windows 7, you can find the version numbers of CantrSpy and Adobe AIR in the "Version" column of Control Panel > Programs and Features.

It doesn't have this problem on mine. I've been running it for about 12 hours a day, for the last four days (only putting the machine into hibernate) and the memory used by it has actually gone down a bit over that time.

Mine is up at 69 MB allocated memory now, since restart almost two days ago.

I am still trying to identify the cause of the leaks. Hopefully it is something that I have control of; if not... we'll see.

I just noticed the installer at http://joo.freehostia.com/cantrspy/ doesn't work in Chrome. Just thought I'd let you know.

Thank you for your report. It seems that this issue is known by Google and Adobe, but has been neglected for several months.

The best current solution seems to be for Chrome users to manually download and run the installation package, and so I have added a link that allows this.

Hum...do any of your CantrSpy versions have a big icon, or a big flashy pop-up window? I don't really notice my icon all the way down there when it's flashing.

CantrSpy 1 has something like that, but I can't make any guarantee it still works. CantrSpy 2 does not... yet. I'll implement it one day, I promise!

I've been getting question marks since the server migration. If I manually tell it to check, it returns a number, but left to do it automatically, it gets confused.
