I have resigned from the French/Italian language department and have sent my last charries to a quiet heart-attack death.

Kieri DuBonnet - Former girlfriend of the infamous pirate, Adam Brinks, died alone after setting the last of her pets free to join their herds. Her life was filled with adventure, terror, more adventure and maybe the hope of a true friend, but he passed before she did. She leaves no one.

Brig Vert-Martin - Many people chose to become Vert-Martin, but they'd always leave and never come back. If you see a corpse with a copper ring on a finger, bury it gently. She suffered many losses and when her last son Guy passed, she couldn't go on any more. She leaves no one. Maybe she will find her husband Alain Vert and many of her children in paradise. Je t'aime toujours, ma belle.

Georges DePré - In his youth, he travelled to another island and made a pact with another language group to start up iron production in his region. The longboat trip back and forth was Georges' biggest aventure. Georges had been angry of late with newspawns who knew too much, wanted too much and kept asking too many questions. He leaves his friend, Gil. RIP.

Anna Charsis - Anna found a home in the forest. She mostly cut down trees for wood. She has afraid to go into the next town to exchange the wood, and nobody knew exactly why. She leaves her friend, Pierre. Bon voyage, Anna.

Enzo Basta is no more. Enzo had a rough start, but found several others who spoke like he did. But when his good friend started making trades, people from many language groups found their deserted island, and it was no longer the home he knew. He leaves Ciccio and Susanna. Ciao, amico mio.

Thanks to everyone for a 10-year odyssey!

My character met Kieri DuBonnet, he liked her, she gave him a headband once for no reason, and he still has it to this day. He never really knew her but she seemed nice for the time she was there.

A quiet yet really sweet man. It was endearing how you played his nervousness about... I don't really remember if it was pirates or just ships in general, it's been a while. Chloé always meant to go back, but her heart gave up on board of the Ours.
Thanks.

My character knew Enzo Pasta and Susanna.
They where her first encounter on the expedition.

It's a shame Coventina didn't get to run into Kieri again. That would've been a blast from the past.

Really sorry to see you go, notsure. :(

One of my chars met Enzo a very long time ago. I thought the encounter was funny but I don't think Enzo was amused at all. I really feel sorry for the Italian chars and the situation with their group of islands. I had an English char spawn at Mistwood North (I think) ages ago before there were a lot of English chars there. Just Fritz and Ciccio were living in that town. I kept her alive for a long time hoping I would find the time to start learning Italian but then real life got in the way and I finally gave up on that idea and let her die.

Sad to hear of Brig's death. Sorry Picaton didn't last long enough to keep her company.

Yes, she was still alive when Fritz died. Named Carmen. Pretty sleepy char but I had high hopes for her (and myself) to learn the language. Maybe now that I'm not moving, starting a new job and taking classes, I could attempt it. Carmen's situation was just perfect because she was an English char so wouldn't be expected to be fluent and I could learn with her. None of my chars right now are ideal to send there long-term to learn.

I also wanted to express some feelings about my past charries:
Ty Beauchamp - He spawned in a place which kept their dead leaders in a room. There weren't many people in the town and eventually he was the only one left. He died protecting stuff that the other people had left behind. He wrote songs before we ever had music instruments. A great, low-key guy.

Zara Gaspillage - She spawned in Doryiskom and lived there her whole life. She tried a boat trip for ressources, but found out that she got terribly sea-sick. Zara became a counsellor, had a few close calls and a couple of short-lived romances. She was my hero; pirates attacked and she died protecting the people she'd already hidden away in buildings. Sweet dreams, sweetie.

Gwenna Longcourt - She was a follower. Everyone in her seaside town said they must move across the little water to get to the big island to be safe. So she went with them. Gwenna was inthralled with a religious man who kept repeating to her that those who died were in a better place. When several of Gwenna's friends went to the better place, she was ready to follow them. She stopped eating so she could get to that better place.

Barrie Javel - She was born on an island with a lot of wild animals. Several people joined together to find the nearest settlement. Part of Barrie's job was to to the boat around the small lake and to catch people before they were completely eaten up, and take them back to the main camp. She somehow found herself alone and I'm not sure if the animals got her or if she gave up hope.

Zé was an unlucky French charries who was sexually attacked by a Dutch guy, then kidnapped by Spaniards, and eventually killed.

These characters, and the ones I identified earlier, are all the charries I had in 10 years of play.
Thanks for great times!

There was also Sheila Dai around that time, Genie and SumBum. She struck at a foreigner for touching her stuff and the lady whacked her head off.

I feel the need to pay my respects to Zara. She really did serve Doryiskom for a long time. Even though she wasn't on the best of terms with Stephanie, which I regret, she saved her life and then died herself. Stephanie still lives to this day because of her. Zara is certainly a character that had an impact on me.

Aww... thanks for the nice words, Joshuamonkey. And everyone else, too. It's hard to think they aren't around any more, but it's nice to know they're still in the hearts of some charries and will live through them.

Thanks again. notsure :?
