I think that sex, in Cantr, should be done. I mean, come on! All these people are over 20yrs old, so where's the harm in RP'ing sexual actions?
Because of the 'over-20' age of all these people, players should be free to role-play it, no matter how old or young the player is. 'Cos, when ya think about it, it's the character, innit? Not the player. :roll:

I don't mind other people rping sex but I personally would not like to get involved with it. Just seems a bit strange to be roleplaying that over the net, the kind of weird that makes one feel like they are connecting to a chat room and asking for "ne sxci chicks!!!!!!!!!11111111 im so hott and musline!"

Well, its easy... its just like *he smiles* or something... except with slightly more detail.

You know good RPers sometimes put tonnes of detail into their everyday things? E.g *He looses the arrow, which flies through the air with a deft "slap" and thuds into the buffalo's side, making it loe mornfully. It struggles, and finally collapses, twitching, it's eyes rolling in it's head*

You see a man in his thirties skillfully kill a buffalo with a longbow.

well its like that really... except often you do not shoot them.

Hehe, there was a guy once that was coming onto one of my chars like that. He's dead now.

But seriously though, I don't see anything weird about chars having sex...I mean it's not like some random stranger just walks up to you and says 'lets have sex', but just like in RL, if you've been in a close relationship with someone for years, and you both decide to take it to the next level, what's wrong with that?

Yeah, that's it. Most people who are against sex in Cantr imagine it being that childish cyber thing teens do in chatrooms. But mostly it's sofisticated and well played. Mostly... Once I made the mistake of buying services from someone who really was no master in writing, nicely put. Since I was already having better things with my other characters and on top of all, this person told me OOC that she'd be going away for several days, I replied to her that lets just pretend they did it and paid her as agreed, then left. Oh, and she was interracting with other characters while supposedly being off the center of the town with my charrie - unacceptable! :roll:

*nods in agreement* Characters treat sex as seriously as if they were real people.. hence why rape is a crime in most Cantr locations, if not all.

I've had a charracter on a boat with a female charracter who was all coy on land... and then we got on the boat it was all tie me up with this sinew and what do you want master...

The thing is there was lots of are you awake ... if I was then lots of things would happen but if I went offline ot would all start from the begining again...

The fact that he/she/it was only getting very descriptive if it was happening real time made me feel like it was cybersex... I OOCed them my email to try and discuss it sensibly and after a while he had a heart attack...

My other characters have often develolped relationships but never got into the mechanics of sex, almost as if it hadn't happened but we both pretended it had... hence professions of undying love etc. This is mainly because I was unhappy simulating outlandish sexual practices with the boat character having no idea how old they were... dodgy in my book!

I know it was go very much against the spirit of RP but I think I would now want to ask the OOC question are you over 18 before doin much more than kissing!

It does ruin it.. on my old acc someone did it to me. I decided to murder that particular character who asked me... for IC reasons, of course.
