This reminds me of another thing about Cantr that puzzles or annoys me... All the fascinating, ancient Cantr history that I missed out on, because a certain friend of mine didn't bother to convince me to start playing until two years ago...

That is just too good, haha.

This isn't games fault but.. Seeing large town with +10 people and seeing that it has just few people actually working/Awake is just sad :(

Being one of the few is depressing lol. I wonder about people, I work 54 hours and am still the lonely active in a giant city what the crap.

It's also depressing even on small town when you are only one awake.. Makes you feel lonely, okay I guess it's time zones but still

Characters that run away whenever there's a disagreement or fight instead of staying and trying to solve the problem. I mean how is running away supposed to help?

For me it comes and goes. Some periods I put a a lot of time into Cantr, some times almost no time at all.

And most of the time you're forced to follow them, meaning that you'll have to wait 1-3 hours to get back in town. *Shakes head*

Are you though? Chances are if you have to run after them all the time (meaning they keep coming back), they'll probably come back on their own anyway because they want attention or whatever. In either case, why try to keep someone around who'd so easily throw their community away in the first place.

When you have an tantruming emo butterfly sometimes you have to just let them go free, if they don't return to you then it was never meant to be. :P

But yeah, I used to have a character in a town with someone who would do this all the time. Can't just run into a building to pout, oh no, it's gotta be the road so you can be sure to waste at least three hours of the other players' time, hopefully more.

Now most of my characters are sort of insensitive so they would just roll their eyes and amuse themselves by thinking of the other person sitting out there on the road feeling increasingly more foolish once they realize no one's coming after them. Cantr is much more entertaining this way.

Have I mentioned that I like you recently Marian? lol I'm in full agreement here. If you want to run off on the road, rather than stay and fix the problem, well then your problem is apparently not as important to you for it to be resolved, therefore...it's not worth my time or my characters.

Here here! I concur with you both.
Besides, sometimes people need to have their sulk without someone always trying to make them feel better. Maybe they'll finally learn they can't always get what they want afterwards and then everybody wins.
Not that we don't need selfish characters in the game of course, I'm all for having a few around, but it does pain me to see other characters who should know better coddle them, and enable the behavior.
It's like *cringe*... damn, you just missed an opportunity for that person to just deal with it and possibly grow out of it - and some people wonder why these types of characters just never seem to change. Why would they when they're getting what they want every time they make a fuss?

There's a polish girl who does that. People used to follow her, newspawns still will. But most of the time no one goes so she comes back and runs inside.
