Re: The Dead Character Thread
Chee died a long time ago. It was just her body that kept living on, IMO. Now the body is dead.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I fully agree with that, actually.
She... never really had a good life.
One of these days I'm going to write her life story as best as I can remember it.
It will probably be short even though she lived long.

Feyr Clannan died... My first char, didn't make it past 45. After getting abandoned, left in a sleepy town, he didn't have anything to live for, anymore... Dead end.

One of my former characters met Feyr. Whatever happened to the girl he was with? Can't remember her name now.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
Well firstly she never really got over Archer's death, especially after people around her kept dropping like flies. That caused her to eventually become the rather aloof and jaded Chee that she died as. I'd like to describe her as passionately apathetic, which is interesting because she never really did stop caring About people. It was more like.... she stopped caring about herself. That's not to say that she was this incredibly selfless being that gave everything she had for the betterment of whatever, because she wasn't.

Sorry for the late reply but I thought I should clarify for the sake of history - it was actually a game bug, Kru didn't do anything.... apart from take credit for it... but that was Kru...

Re: The Dead Character Thread
I'm not sure whether to post this here or in the RP praise thread, but it probably doesn't matter since the player may be long gone.
Tanner. Or as my character named him secretly, "drowsy guy Tanner".
He was actually a well-played and solid character. Consistent, much to the heartbreak of my own character... except for the suicide at the end, which left the rest of us devastated. But I guess that's what generally results from a suicide.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
You're talking about the Tanner who occasionally passed through Hemp Gardens, yes?

Actually no. Or at least I don't think so. This was Tanner from Aki island.

Re: The Dead Character Thread
From months or years and years ago, but:
Shona Kree
Shinizi
Hayu
Joseka Evrona Ahote
Kestrel Ramblewind
Ophidia
and Bramble Blossom I guess even though she never had much of a personality, I just miss the old days on Aki.
We just had a big discussion about getting overly emotional about our characters...well when I think of these the only person I have to get pissed off at is myself.
Is Jos still the one in charge of things here, I never see him around anymore. One of these days I'll get around to winning the lottery or something, and I just need to know in advance who to make the six figure check out to to get them brought to life somehow. Doesn't matter how long it's been, I could slip right back into their heads and pick up right where I left off with them. I swear it's the kind of thing that makes you want to drop everything and write terrible fanfic.
Not quite feeling it on that level with the current crop yet, but sometimes I guess these things just take time. Anyway, New Year's resolution is to never let it happen again.
Now I'm gonna go have another margarita in the memory of my girls and then go blow some shit up real good, cheers.

He is still the owner of the game, but isn't involved at all in the daily administration, development and things like that. When we move/improve servers or there are overall financial issues, then Jos becomes involved, at all other times the staff heriarchy make sure things are handled anyway.
