Ahh - Sorry, I wouldn't know. I don't know this character, never seen em. I assumed he was a person with a tail :P

And, what you said, brings up a question I keep asking myself (But never get around to asking others) - A Wolf is a "Canine", and a Cheetah is a "Feline". So that this mean, that "Cat's" and "Dog's" exist, in a non-literal sense?

In my opinion, no. There are no cats or dogs in Cantr, and no categories of feline and canine. Just as there are no pickeral or catfish, even though we have fish. Cantrites have never heard of them, so they don't know of them.

That's true, makes sense. Plus, there's really no other canines and felines (Well, Lion...) in the game, so I suppose it doesn't matter.

Someone could make a scienfitic discovery, and decide that lions and cheetas should be Feline. Because they said so...

And what is 'feline' to a cantrian?

it means 'cat-like', and there we go putting the cart before the horse again. The most they could reasonably deduce is that a cheetah and a lion (assuming they've seen both) look more similar to each other than they do to other animals, same way a deer resembles a horse and a hawk resembles a pidgeon. More than that wouldn't be good RPing.

I understand what is being said about Pup, but he is a joy to be around. In the future, maybe we can make a character a domesticated animal like a dog or cat to keep others company.

I like Pup, but do understand your concerns. *drops an apple for Pup to play with*

there are plenty of cantr creatures he could RP.

for example the sheep person in Flonder:

874-3: Draveth Moore says: "Baaa"

874-3: Draveth Moore says: "Ah. It`s a pity sheep can`t hold shields and we must rely on our fluffy wool to protect us. Otherwise I wouldn`t be so weak. "

874-2: Valantha says: "*continues to sob*It was frightening...The boar attacked me too, but I managed to ready my shield..."

874-2: Draveth Moore says: "I`m sorry to hear that, Valantha. *puts an arm around her, apparently unaware that as a sheep (as he thinks of himself) he really shouldn`t have arms* Humans are such fragile creatures. "

he RPs a sheep --or a person who thinks he's a sheep--while staying within the confines of the game.

Pretty well done, I'd say

Oh well. I was thinking that a person that thinks themselves a sheep, even though they still have arms and talk and all was bad RP and a person that thinks they're a dog that never, ever talks or uses arms or anything might be considered good rp.

So much for being in character.

*goes back to moping over solfus being dead.*

I like having pup there. He doesn't overdo it. He only wags his tail or plays with his chew toys a few times a week.

I would like to add:

Zeno from Plaekur Hills. Far from annoying, but very fun.

I'll add to that, Philip Boka from Blerk, and David Benson from Second Blojt. Also, Ong from Second Blojt. :P

Why Philip? He's not that good.

There's people in Blerk? Wasn't that the ghost town?

In a sense. There were people there, indoors. There are more outside now, spawns and travellers.

No, we're RPing people who think they're animals, not people that ARE animals. Someone who RPs a char. who thinks they're a sheep even though they're clearly not is, IMHO, RPing better than someone who RPs a human character slot as if it's an actual dog, not someone pretending to be a dog. (which, again, don't exist in cantr)

The human doesn't have a tail or a chewtoy.

if the dog-person actions *wags his tail*, as per Jos' clarification on the character page, it's not allowed because he doesn't have a tail.

if the sheep-person says "Baaa" that's allowed because people can make sheep noises.

If the sheep-person actions *rubs his wool against a tree* it's not allowed because a person doesn't have wool. If it was *rubs his back* that'd be different.

No, I don't see the difference. I think the pup character is fun and harmless. He does wag his tail but Solofus who took pup uder his wing clearly said that pup was a man that was confused and thought he was a dog. Give the fact that we have no dogs in cantr, it should have been said a sheep or other animal that has been introduced but......I think the rest is harmless in my view.
