So is it difficult to change the IP address? I'm just wondering if this will take a while, or if the game could be up at any second....

It will take something like 5 minutes to do the change, but then the DNS have to update and propagate all over the world, which may be fast or it may take some time. The main issue right now is that Jos haven't been in touch yet. He's the only one with access.

If the DNS listing is the only problem, can't we play the game now by using the numerical IP address (instead of relying on the Name Server to resolve cantr.net)? http://74.208.223.112 gets us to the old Cantr server running a message from 2009. Do you know the new IP address for the server that is running the current game?

And it's not fair for the game to continue running when players don't have access. One of my characters will die in six days unless I get him some food. If you can assure me the game will be available within five days, then I will stop worrrying.

We have nailed it down so it looks to be a really really easy fix. And Jos said he believed he would have time to look at it tonight (GMT). It's getting late though, so hopefully tomorrow.

Another thing that can be somewhat annoying, but not as acute as starving, is the sailing.
