It is true that I have had endless problems because of Adobe's crappy Linux implementation of the AIR runtime, so yes, there may be nothing I can do about it, but I may be able to implement some weird hacky fix.

I've been trying to get some logs of where AIR fails on opening a browser window, but no luck... nothing useful in Konsole, and nothing useful in system logs either... but tomorrow I've got a more techie friend coming over to help me finish off my supply of booze and to see if he can find out more.

Edit/update: No luck in finding a fix here just yet, but my more techie friend copied my OS over to another laptop and will see if he can hunt anything down on that.
Though he seems to suspect it's a combination of AIR's crappy implementation and something crappy in Kubuntu.

Oh, that's because it's a link to a forum page. I've changed it to the IP address now.

I'm not sure about Windows Mobile and Google Desktop, but the former sounds like something Adobe might extend support for. The latter I imagine would have to have something freshly written for.

Is there anyway I could pop the icon out of my bar and make it bigger?
Like if I'm not at my computer, the icon is teeeny, and I can't tell if I have any notifications.
So could there maybe be an option to have a pop-up window that has a giant number on it, or maybe it's just blank until you have notifications? And then it's like "Char X, Y, and Z have new events!" or w/e?

This version doesn't have the box that you can have open on your screen? I have the first one, that tells you what characters have events in the box.. And I like that for when I move away from the comp.

These are the options I get when I right-click:
Open player page--opens player page, duh.
Update now--checks my Cantr for new events.
Settings--a bunch of settings.
Logout--logs me out.
---------
Tick timings--tells me when things are going to happen.
---------
Exit--ends CantrSpy.exe

And that's it. What version do you have? Maybe I should downgrade.

1 point something. Which has that feature, but doesn't have tick timings, you can't log in from the tray icon (but can from the box) <-same with updating.

If CantrSpy in the toolbar has a number of four or less, it should show you all of your characters that have activity when you over it with the mouse. I know that SOMETIMES when it says 3 or 4 it'll give you the "x active characters" message and you'll have to look for it manually.

I don't know if that's exactly what you're talking about, but that's it does for me on 2.8. -shrugs-
