It's all good. He was a super fun character to play, but all things must die. It wasn't your fault it was more Noah and his gangs fault than anything.

I was the player for turnip, and Tom Burger (and lojban characters no one here likely met, markaris, djipelus and barbi'e) (yes, that's right, in thirty+ cantr years, I only ran five characters, and never more than three at a time).

And yeah, I do owe an explanation....

Basically, real life intruded... a lot. (in fact, I'm currently a month behind emails). Work, other online games, and other stuff.

And I felt that it wasn't fair to the characters around those two, and used to my previous high activity level to suffer from years of sleepiness from them, and there was no way I could keep up with the how things have evolved in the interim, so I let them hit the 20 day inactivity limit (after RL months of logging in every couple of weeks just to avoid that, and keep them fed) I'm sorry for any drama their demise caused (I hope ;-) )

I really enjoyed playing them. Turnip learned so much about how civilized people behaved, despite his early traumatic (pre-spawn, deal with it!) experiences.

He will never forget:
His first (unrequited) love, Aisha, who he discovered, too late, eventually loved him back. Glad she finally found happiness with Joshua.
Turnip's short and ill-fated marriage to Rayen, who showed him how full love can be.
Kayla, who he loved as the mother who died when turnip was very young.
Nikki, who was always there for good advice, until she didn't follow his.
Holly, who showed him that instruments can make music, too.
Calypso, the tireless clothier of Scarab Haunt.
Chee, despite [OOC self-censored], was also a good friend.
Artemis, who he was falling in love with, who left suddenly, breaking his heart, and he never found any trace of.
Risotto, obsessed with turnip, but he was very wary of, because he thought she was nuts. (But thanks for the rabbit, Risotto! Wish animal domestication had been finished before turnip died)
Captain Taylor, who brought Scarab Haunt back to life.
Libby and Starlyn, who kept Scarab Haunt exciting, (he swore eternal vengenance on the latter).
Jessica Hewn, who he ALSO thought was nuts, but a giver of good advice.
Lunarmay, another mother hen.

------
Tom Burger, whose ambitions changed over time from world's greatest salesman to playwright (dang! never actually got to write the script to "The Goat Who Wanted to Fly") interacted mostly with Marlie Sunrise and Sabela. He was quite content to center his life around Sabela's, but having to share her tore him up inside, especially those times he felt she didn't love him anymore, or the times she felt that she was unloveable. farewell, my Mirror Lake. Joseph, Tom was very fond of you, and foresaw great things for you. Echo and Peater, you were both great characters. Loved interacting with you.
--------------------
I will still check PMs if anyone cares to correspond. But I can't guarantee timeliness, and probably won't check forums.

Thanks everyone for an exciting time in cantr and stimulating discussions in forums and email. Maybe I will be back again, maybe not. I can't say.

"Witnessing" Sabela and Tom, even if it was brief, was a joy.

It seems like a lot of well-known people have died recently.

Chrissy Milanese from Midgar.

Spawned in Scarab haunt, insecure and not sure what to do when Risotto and Dunder decided to cause trouble and head off to start their own town... She went along in the end and got to be Risotto's daughter, consequently Dunder her father.

I won't tell her whole story publically here, but in the end she died misunderstood and confused.. Longing for her mother who died years before. It was sad to see her lose herself...

Simon Drake, formerly of Aragon. Mr Insatiable. Second man she has caused the death of... Starved, alone, lost at sea, trying to find his beloved. She will never find out...

From an anonymous player

Darstanon of Xiria Forest - Holly misses him so much, she has such a big hole in her heart that may never heal, but she will try.

Doesn't help that so many other people are sleepers or cause unnecessary drama. -__-

Goodbye... Valerie Steel Silverblood.

Unable to longer bare the dark hatred that had grown to devour her... She did the "right" thing -before- she could cary out her assasination plot.
