Your character could move into a building, and perform his daily life mostly inside. That has always been the purpose of buildings, but they don't seem to be used that way. I don't have my characters stay inside buildings either. I'm currently testing it with one character. If it makes sense, I might make it a habit.

Well, you can gather resources in quiet location, no?
And the go-into-a-building tactic is what I use a lot, especially when I'm busy in real life and want to check my characters only quickly. In fact, it is why Russell is not currently a candidate in the elections
... And Thomas is right, that is how buildings were intend to be. Now, if you want to contact a company, you start asking who runs it. The original idea was, you go into the building and find the owner there
...
But I must say, in Karnon Forest I used that approach too - just find resources and ignore the talking. Just used the 'find' option of explorer to see if there as a 'to you' in the events list, or my name
...
Quillanoi, however, is only full of interesting talking :p

and most of what is directed at you is missed, and people have to repeat it to you, which is immensly annoying. ALso explaining things several times, which have been explained thouroughly, but you weren't paying attention

no idea, you mean by selecting edit and find?
I wouldn't have thought of it if you hadn't mentioned it, and many others may do the same thing. What exactly would appear in the turn reports if you implemeneted it?
If it's just HTML tags like it currently is it shouldn't be too much of a hardship.
Perhaps this should be a separate topic in the Suggestions forum? From where David said about bold text for "says to you" to this post, ought to be moved I think.[/quote]

No, everything would be perfectly IC. The messages would be sent out after the takeover to friends in both the governments there that for one reason or another want the democratic government in Quillanoi to stay.

Legolas never worked for the Cult, I don't want to sound critical or anything, but a lot of what you say about the Cult isn't actually correct. I don't mind so much where it's wrong, but in a positive way though

Not to seem critical either but you seems rather confident that your character already won the election. Perhaps other characters are just saying things to keep you quiet. Some people have been talking to Ealse too. And Legolas was an employee of the Cult unless others are lying that claims also to be employees of the Cult or were.
You also forget that I have a character that works for Siom and do you really think that Siom is allowing you set up your outposts for nothing. Just like the Siom Deputies in Quillanoi, Siom has a price and eventually they'll come to take it if they feel like it. Plus, I don't think the Cult would be wanted in Brunoi as Malfu Dorsk, the owner of Lusken Transports, has already made trade agreements in Quillanoi and should the Cult suddenly try to set up a post there and try to compete, it probably wouldn't make them very happy.
But anyways, I don't think the Cult is as powerful as you claim. You could planning some sort of takeover behind everyone's back with other business owners but once people in Quillanoi find out that you did such a thing they could take you out of office for it.
