Man, we need a "places that irritate you" thread. The entirety of Dom Hofran is pissing me off right now: they're so goddamn full of themselves, AND they overuse ellipses. It's really annoying. My char's having a blast though.

This is worse, when you are the spwnee, and this has happened to me, and apparently it is possible to spawn if there are two speakers of your language in a town. I was completely out of my depth, and think some kind of longevity factor should be built into this rule... to avoid 'visitors' being counted..?

Yes. Irritating, as it takes all your brain to follow the plot, let alone create any real engaging rp.

Actually, you're right. As the spawn-ee, that'd really suck, because what are the chances you're going to be able to convince Joe Sailor to take you along for the ride (and feed you and take care of you and give you things) just because you two speak the same language? And then you'd be stuck in a place where you either have to A)Legit learn the language (if you don't already know it) or B) translate everything all the time AND it will be three years before your character's allowed to 'learn' the native language. *shakes head* That's just a bad deal all around.
As a person who's town you spawned in, it's barely a mild irritation. I just feel cheated out of a newspawn.

This also upsets me, we had a ridiculous amount of polish spawn in Baaak once. Thank the cantr gods they had enough since to build a boat and leave.
