I don't think boredom is always the culprit here. I found, especially earlier on, with my responsible characters, people'd get annoyed if I didn't say SOMETHING to them as soon as I could, so if someone wants a big trade and I'm checking Cantr on my coffee break at work, and I say ANYTHING, the requester will often get disgruntled about 'being blatantly ignored', but I really don't have time or screen space to work out a complicated trade on my tablet in ten minutes of free time, so I say 'sure, just give me a moment to add things up' or whatever.
Which is fine.
But then I'd forget to actually do it. Not boredom, just disorganization.
Now, I write things in notes, or in text files. My characters ought to have more memory available to them than the little bit I have to spare, split evenly among everyone I play.
(Often while checking with limited time or screen resources, I'll let a responsible character sleep if he's got a responsibility pending, but sometimes I want to work on the next project in a different room, or something, so it's hard to avoid being caught awake)
