This is what counts... is it not? (see bolded in above quote)
I think if I spent as much time getting irritated with these things as some of you seem to... I wouldn't enjoy the game.

What does irritate me (and my chars) are newspawns who just arrive to create shit!
Where was that discussion about having a limited number of characters in any given time..? People might not be so inclined to waste one, if they thought they might not get another quickly.

But consistent grammatical/spelling mistakes make you sound stupid, which makes me not want to talk to you. If it's once in a while, it's fine, but if it happens all the time, I honestly think less of you. And don't bother correcting it either way, because it interrupts the flow of RP and doesn't negate the original mistake.

Pepper of Brunoi, for multiple reasons.

Isaac Newton would cry at some of your emotes :(

Ryaga and I were complaining about the same one. Unless there are others?

I do find it pretty disruptive when people OOC correct themselves after a typo or whatever, I'd rather they just RP it as their char mispeaking, the way real people do all the time, if they have to draw attention to it at all.

The only time I feel it's really acceptable is in the case of mangling an emote so badly it's actually misleading, or in one of those situations where you accidentally emote something about a person that's not even in the room or with an item you forgot you didn't have or something like that.

If I mangle a sentence, in structure, I will OOC correct it. That's only if it's something like punctuation, where the character would have said a question like a statement or something stupid.

I correct my emotes in ooc, unless I can roll with whatever I had my char accidentally do. I have a habit of leaving out words, accidentally making things like undershirt into undershit, and that bothers me. I also sometimes unintentionally make it unclear in my emote what I'm referring to, when dealing with two objects. So, to me, and my OCD, that needs to be fixed.

Also Erin. That character annoys me. Or, maybe it's the player that annoys me, for sometimes not seeming to grasp that their char shouldn't know certain things.

Edit: grammar.

I do find it annoying when someone uses an OOC post to correct silly little typos that could easily be figured out. Most OOC messages are very disruptive to me. If it's something that changes the meaning of an emote, fine OOCly fix it. If it's something your char said wrong then cough and say it right.

I will stew for an hour over a small typo but drawing more attention to it and breaking the IC flow seems worse. People will just have to accept that I'm not perfect, damnit.

People that won't RP something because it's not in game mechanics. You were asleep. I tied you up. Go with it, damn!

Actually I think this would probably irritate me. 'Asleep' just means logged off, and it doesn't change anything about the general RP rule to not assume things about other people's chars in your emotes. IMO it would be better to emote just starting or trying to tie them up, or approaching them with a rope and the obvious intention, and let them take it from there...anything else is kind of poor form, or at least would be considered it anywhere else I've RPed.

I agree, anything other than a strike should be 'attempted' in a roleplaying manner.

I mostly "attempt" to do things, however what pisses me off, more than that, are people who have this complex where they can't possibly accept something negative happening to them.

Me: *swings pillow at face*
Them: *dodges*

Just accept the damn hit, it'll give more to RP with.

No, what is worse than that, is when they completely ignore it!

them: "So, blah blah blah?"
me: *swings pillow at face*
them: "Ahh, blah blah blah."

My chars hardly ever goes OOC. There's simply no need for it unles you make a major mistake, like typing something with the wrong character or so. I make a lot of typos, but they are RP'd as mis-pronouncations rather than going OOC. I hate OOC. Characters that speak a lot of OOC irritates me.
