Not the old Lad Empire, I seem to recall...or did they always have the rule that newspawns who wanted to could leave, provided they did it correctly?

But also, there's a big difference between being 'part of a community' and being, say, a Citizen of Drojf, let alone a Mac Gregor.

I think being persecuted for living a lifestyle (i.e. a Clansman) lies under bigotry, Industriallist. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyways, I can hear your character speaking through you on behalf of Drojf.

Well, you asked for it...

What you say is true, if you restrict your definition of lifestyle sufficiently (Would you call it bigotry to hate bandits without taking the time to get to know them individually?).

But the Mac Gregors are a military/political organization. It might be bigotry to hate them for affecting that absurd accent some do, but not for aligning with Gregor Mac Gregor and supporting his world-view, position, and behavior.

It might be wrong. But it wouldn't be bigotry.

Actually, no. I admit that's where my familiarity with the subject comes from, but what you're hearing is my inability to give up on a point of terminology.

Though I could put in...I haven't actually seen evidence that Joram hates all Mac Gregors at all. Can't say either way, really.

I knew you were going to reply anyways. Anyways, a common definition for bigot:

big*ot n : one intolerantly devoted to his or her own prejudices or opinions.
