Re: CantrSpy 2.7
I couldn't find anything suitable that comes with Windows XP (maybe one of them could be modified, though).
I think it would be amusing to play this:

until it was acknowledged by the user, but I doubt many people would appreciate it.

lol Yes, that'd be funny, but not helpful. What about some sort of chirp, like when your phone has a text or voicemail waiting? Just one little *beep* every few seconds to remind you it's there. And the right pitch to cut through white noise easily and alert you without being grating.

An annoying nasal, half digitized voice, saying: "green... green... green..." would be perfect imho.
(What movie is it from? Though it says "red" in it I believe)

Anything annoying would be suitable.

Although I agree with EchoMan. *zombie-like voice* "Green..... Green..... Green....."
Or something like the AOL's "You've got mail." How about: "You've got activity on Cantr." ?
Perhaps a boisterous fanfare of trumpets and drums would do.
Maybe it could even be an giant crowd cheering obnoxiously for five minutes straight, like they do at concerts for highly-overrated artists.

....Or maybe just a simple "ping" would do.

Re: CantrSpy 2.7
A ping type deal I think.
We're not trying to wake up from sleep, this isn't a one off. It doesn't need to convince us to look, it just needs to get our attention. And if I had CantrSpy running in the background while I was working on a specific character, I would want to hear a raucous fanfare every 90 seconds.
Also: has anyone heard of the mosquito tone test? I've ran across it several times and I think one of those specific tones would be perfect, because while it is a little irritating, it cuts through all white noise. Or maybe you could even choose different ones (since the point of the test was as you got older you couldn't hear the higher pitches).

Might be a stupid question, but how do you change your password? It's not in my settings (using Mac).

Just checked, and if you logout, it'll have your old stuff in there and you can put in your new stuff and then click the little box so it will remember it.

Re: CantrSpy 2.7
Ahh... yeah, I was considering putting an option to do that in the settings as well, because it struck me as kind of illogical to have to log out first, and I thought it might confuse people. I'll do that in the next version (which will be the second next version I release, because I'm waiting to get the current version translated to Spanish).
I wonder if I should automatically log out if the current password is found to be incorrect (currently it refuses to "log in" with an incorrect password, but once it's saved it can auto-login with an incorrect pass), or if that would annoy people and disturb with their workflow.

Thanks Joo, but I don't want my kids logging in. The fifteen year old would behave, but the twelve and ten year olds would 'play'. Meaning they would make conversation with other chars and make include words like butt, bum, kiss etc....
Reveal to me the mysteries
Can you tell me what it means?
Explain these motions and metaphors
Unlock these secrets in me
Describe the vision, the meaning is missing
Won't anybody listen?

How would that make it any more likely that your kids log in to your account?

Re: CantrSpy 2.7
I should take care of this before Cantr returns, so the latest features can be used right away. I need someone to translate some text from English into Spanish for CantrSpy's Spanish localisation, because the person who translated part of the interface went missing after new content was introduced. There are 12 pieces of text that need to be translated to Spanish. Anyone interested, please PM me. If nobody can translate it manually by the time Cantr comes back, I'll just use Google translate.
Also, anyone interested in translating the interface to a language besides Spanish, there are 51 pieces of text that would need to be translated, so, if you are interested, also PM me.

Re: CantrSpy 2.7
FYI, I'm assuming that CantrSpy will not work with the new security settings. Maybe I'm wrong, but don't be surprised if it doesn't work.
