Seko i love how you continue to fight for this. it shows commitment at least, though it is misguided. your logic is based purely on how to either get around the feature or how those who like it will be disapointed if it goes......and your the one telling us to look at things from the other persons prospective.....

OMG ARE YOU KIDDING ME MOST OF THE PEOPLE WHO POST HAVE ALREADY SAID WHY STOP ASKING THIS QUESTION AND READ WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING >.<
OMG PERHAPS YOU SHOULD NOT USE SO MANY CAPS AND CALM DOWN?
If you would read the posts inbetween my post BEFORE that post and that post, you would realize that many people did not specificy reasons. So you are the one who should read what people are saying. You were one of those people who only had "It is new and makes Cantr not Cantr"-like reasons, only after I posted that did you post reasons. :S
As for your "It might open up RP opportunities, but not always." - sometimes is better than never.
As for your comment about Seko, that's not true. Seko is working hard on looking at other people's opinion so most if not everyone will be atleast somewhat ok with it.

I can understand that.
Would anybody be willing to compile a list of all the arguments for and against? We need some coherence here, it appears a lot of people are getting confused and dont have the time and/or patience to sit and read through all of this.
P.S. I'm just stating facts here not picking fault. I reckon anybody sitting down to read the whole thread would be overwhelmed by it anyway.

Eight whole people, apparently.
O.o
.....eh......
i'd like to think there was more than just eight people, especially seen as the pool has more than just " eight whole people " supporting it.

If we're gonna talk like that - how many people were against it? Two. :S
Anyway, Playerslayer, how can it ruin RP? And no, I don't see getting your little pirate attack ruined as ruined RP, as that, too, opens up RP possibilities.

*shrugs* i guess. normally i don't go to suggestion forums. untill i heard thy messed up the whisper function.....i guess people are more interested in getting into other peoples business rather than small stuff like new clothes, tools, vehicles......OH and the ability to bring vehicles aboard ships. that would be awsome.

She's doing her damnedest to make others see her perspective, namely you. I believe that Seko is doing her job as thoroughly as possible (which, considering how it's voluntary is a pretty amazing feat) and is doing her utmost to see things from other people's perspective. If anybody's failing to see things from other people's perspective it's YOU. Please, please stop trying to undermine every argument in any way you can, I for one am extremely tired of it. At the start I cared passionately about getting this right but now I feel like throwing in the towel and letting anything go. Please don't pick fault until you understand what the other person is saying. The only thing you're tearing to pieces is reasonable discussion.

Eight people can look like a big amount when there's almost none opposing to it.
Slowness_incarnate: This may be a big thing when its impact on the game is taken into account, but programming-wise it was very simple. Sometimes it's better to see if a simple implementation would be sufficient before making things more complex.

I'm wouldn't be particularly devastated if this was implemented permanently, as long as the chance of being heard was sensible. Which is not to say that I support it - I do not really see why it's needed or what the benefits of it are, besides people complaining about people whispering to each other, which in my opinion isn't much of an issue.
Note: I also couldn't bring myself to read the ~10 pages of arguing which was hatched overnight, so I just skimmed through it. I didn't notice anything worth reading in detail.

And how many people even bother to visit the suggestions forums anymore, with the general understanding that's been in place that nothing will get implemented? I know I mostly avoid them now because most threads end with someone talking about how things won't get implemented.
