Eh, I'm among the few who picked "Players should be nominated by other players to play a child".
But, in my opinion, this nomination should be in agreement with the player being nominated.
As for how they come to the world of Cantr, heck... I dunno, it doesn't seem to be an issue that everyone ends up naked in their twenties, so it shouldn't be an issue that some start as kids...
Come to think of it, maybe the options to nominate them, and other options, would be coupled to the option to have other players/characters as parents.
(Probably this has already been brought up, I only kinda briefly raced through the thread, not really reading everything)
Another note about kids in Cantr...
What would be the odds, speakling in terms of gambling, if a child met wild animals?
An adult might have a chance to fight off a bear, or even actively hunt bears, but wouldn't children be like walking snacks to a bear?
And would these kids be able to manufacture and use the same stuff that adults can?
It'd be interesting to see a little kid trying to efficiently use a claymore, or drag around a big wooden shield and other heavy arms... heh...
Now that I think about this, I can already see some people consider ritual suicide because they know if it does get implemented, they'll have to do the work on the coding and the database... heh... if we suddenly see a newspawn with a huge gun going around killing every character that has a player who took part in the forming of these ideas, we'll have our suspects
But, I can imagine there being acceptable ways around some of those issues, it might become one of the things that's always being developed further... I don't know.

I nominate Racetyme to be the first Cantr child.
I voted the nomination route. Simply because the only reason children are being introduced into this game is for the opportunity to RP a family element to Cantr. There's no other reason. So good RP is necessary.
The person playing the child should definitely want to do it. But I'd want a player I'd trust to RP well playing the child. In other words, avoiding people like Racetyme. (no offense of course

Uh huh, social value of bloodlines means diddley-squat if you can't RP it, or worse if you don't want to RP it. It's clear that not everyone who plays this game wants to simulate that aspect of society. Which is unfortunate, but nevertheless the reality.
RP is crucial to this society simulator that we have here. For many who play this game, that is the major motivation for playing.

I don't really like the idea of blood lines in cantr, my characters wouldn't allow their own children to take command if they were stupid. That is how I see it anyway. It would just make for an even stupider leadership, eventually, which would make life even harder for my vigillante character.

I think is no good idea.
This is the kind of thinking that comes from someone who uses accept incorrectly in sentences. Kids would be worse at doing things, need less food, be easier to kill, have less strength, and suck at everything that adults are good at. Pretty much just like real life.
