Now... why should it make you sad?

It is society that states than 18 is the age of majority (at least it is here) and that 16 is the age of consent... many are sexually mature (enough to perform it, you understand) at 14, and it is only society that tells us its wrong.

Nature evidently intends for us to repreodcue from that age, otherwise everything would develop later... *shrugs*

Not that I condone sex at 14. I just wanted to make a point about the stigmas society produces, generally based on bizarre reasoning.

I have heard my great grandmother was 12 when she got married back in the 1920s. Sweet Home Alabama! :D

No surprise that they family is worried about my chances, being single at 26. :?

It makes me sad that sex is "no big deal" for a 14 yo boy. It should be the biggest and most exciting deal in the world.

I feel sad for all the kids who kinda get sex spoiled for them through the massive exposure they get to it. I'm only 24 but I feel less jaded (at least sexually) than a lot of young teenagers.

I miss listening to Love Line. One of the common themes that I heard come out of Drew and Adam's reactions to callers was exactly this. Teenagers now seem to have the level of sexual boredom of someone in their mid-thirties. And the saddest part of it all is that they don't know anything about it, or at least doing it properly. 18 years olds with 25 years worth of crappy Wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am sex just makes me feel embarassed. I mean, c'mon, when I - a 26 year old virgin - can still explain sex to people with far more experience...sad sad sad.

I'll stop rambling.

Good metal never dies, West...

As long as people like me still love old metal, it'll still be there.

Unfortunatelyu what people see as metal now does exactly correspond to what I love... :(

Back to the topic...

I normally play my chars like I turn my life, which means they're 90% business and 10% or less play, and anyone who gets in the way of that gets kicked to the door. My chars also tend to be loners, no matter what their social standing. Unless their perssonalities connect with someone or that someone has something they need, that person gets stuck in the "gray zone", which means they're just another warm body in the way of progress.

Yeah, I know, but I adopted that stratergy for life after haveing way to many problems in my life be caused by people who, after having a 20/20 look back on things, I never should have allowed anywhere near me.

But don't worry, west, you aren't in the gray zone :D .

I think there are three playing styles:

1. The staff member. Those who fit the bill for staff membership, and make decisions that other staff members like. This leads to the lack of thought apparent in many prog changes, the result of no objective view.

2. The anti-christ (a.k.a. Nick). The players who are the opposite of the 'staff member' Much hatred here... most of it undeserved, both ways.

3. The player. Those who don't participate in the staff-senior player politics. Both those newspawns who don't know anything, and the experienced player who avoids the forums and other players ooc.

Sound anywhere near right?
