Just a note of the stone ingot, I believe it is a tool for the manufacture of bronze (from looking at empty bronze projects, since bronze can't be made yet to my knowledge), which would reinforce the prospective that the stone is just a cast of sorts for the bronze, although why you would want it in the shape of an ingot is beyond me.

My point is that an ingot is cast metal. You can't have astone ingot. Period.Ovault wrote:I was just looking at them on google earliyer. Its just like a bar or something... yea your right though how could you make a stone ignot out of a hammer? .... A chisel would be more logical
Stone Ingot Cast... that would be reasonable I suppose. But if that's what it is, shouldn't the name be changed? So it actually says what it is?

An ingot can also refer to the mold used to make a metal bar , as well as the metal bar itself .
It is a rarer use and confusing but strictly correct . A stone ingot is the stone mold used to make a metal ingot
Both uses come form the old english word geotan which means cast ,
again the cast can refer both to the mold and item produced in the mold.
However I'd prefer a clearer word use such as "Ingot mold"

A fair point.
Doesn't geotan mean to pour not to cast, though? (I knew that old english module would be useful eventually...
) Actually, they're almose the same thing, so what matter?
I still think a name change is in order. Especially if we end up with 'bronze ingots' or somesuch.
