This is a bit on a different topic but related. Playing sex with minors. Ok, when I was 14 the last thing I would have wanted to hear is "I don't play with you because you're too young". That's why going to chatrooms most people are lying their age and sometimes their sex too. In a way that was roleplaying, because they didn't have a chance to be who they were.
In Cantr where OOC chatter is basically banned, there's no way of knowing how old the player is unless you ask them, and they might still lie to you, or get turned off by the question, especially if they really are older but your question makes it sound like their rp appeared childish somehow. When you finally learn it on the forums if ever, stuff may already have happened and you may think that you can't suddenly start behaving differently just because you know it's a young player. And when the person says "it's ok, I've seen worse", you get the idea that you're interacting with a strong, mature person. But you only see what your eyes want to see. Of course teens are vulnerable, even though they never admit it. Then one day it goes too far and you both feel sorry because you couldn't set the limits like mature people do.
So, even though you'll probably hate this idea, I'd like to see a mention in a character's profile of how old the player is. It doesn't have to be specific but it could be less than 14, 14 to 16, 16 to 18, and over 18. We are required to give our year of birth while subscribing so why not use it? The choice of letting it affect your actions or not is completely yours, there's no rule forbidding you from playing with young people, but at least you should have a chance to know it without having to state an OOC question or asking PD to check it.

So? Make it against the rules to give a false age, if they find out your account will be locked and deleted if seen appropriate. Not that they would have means to check it but I think such threat might work. Besides if you're lying so blatantly then you're fooling others on purpose and it's your own fault if you get mistreated.

Seko's point about age is a very valid one, but what would stop people from Lying (dam, cant spell) about thier DOB, and of course, you may choose not to play at all with anyone who is younger that your age group, which really wouldent be cool... that was perhaps the worst written post ever... but hell.. its late.. hope it made sense...
