There is a statistics report at the end of each turn report, for the current day it says there is 908 players and 3854 characters. It changes every time so I assume it is reading directly from the database. Or am I wrong anybody?

I don't know-- all my turn reports are so long, they get truncated and I only get one character's report as a result.

I ran the last 60 days of turn reports through excel and got a good laugh on how many people have been leaving lately.

The number of player and characters has been steadily going up, but there are spikes of people quitting and dipping the population down.
Reality was never my strong point.

The blue line is the CHANGE in players, not the actual populations, and the purple line shows the change in characters.

So you can see spikes in people signing up and creating new players, probabally due to new advertising or circles of friends, but you can also see spikes in drop offs. Like 1018, when I imagine a great number of sleepers found out they could starve.

I don't know the actual reasons behind the changes in the number of players and characters, but you can see the numbers and hazard some guesses.

lol look at 1012... the players go down while the characters go up... slick.
