Thanks for the advice... not that I have a doctor. My stupid mom keeps saying I need to take B12 and that that'll remove all of my pains. Well, I did, and it made no difference. My period is irregular... People tell me that it should have stopped being irregular by now. Two out of three times, my period isn't that painful, but then there's always the painful one that, since the past two times, makes me want to carve out my abdomen.

Girl I know exactly how you feel. I had the same exact thing. There is a name for it although it has sliped my mind at the moment. My periods were so irregular I would skip a month sometimes or have periods close together. They couldn't even tell me when my daughter was conceived because of it.
But the good news is since I would be in so much pain for my periods and I was so used to it my labour pains weren't so bad. And after I had my little girl my period never came back. Which I thought was good but found out it wasn't and I ended up pregnant again. After I had my son I went on birth control like my doc said to do years ago (which I didn't want to at the time because I thought it would make me gain weight) and I have regular periods now and no more pain!! YEAH
So convince your mom to get you some birth control. Midol never helped me so until then Motrin will do the trick. If not get Extra strength. Good Luck.

This topic seems to be sliding to the none-Cantr related
I tried the pill recently but it made me damn aggressive and I had yucky drop leak all the time. They were totally ruining my life, so better stick to condoms.. Now just waiting for the next period... Last time I tried the pill I had a 40 day break between periods, it may be the same this time.
The only problem now is that I have over four months worth of birth control pills I cannot use.. Does anyone use Mercilon?

Wow, thanks, sparkle! I will definitely try it. I'll have to find out what this problem is called. I don't plan to have biological kids, so there's not even the slightest gain for me. I haven't had those periods coming close together since the first year of my period, but now they happen between four and eight weeks.

Well, I shouldn't be specific about what kind of birth control. The patch, to me, is the best type of female birth control out there. Your period will be very regular. You were the patch for a week at a time for three weeks and then the fourth week (the week your period will start) you don't wear one.
The patch is so much better than the pill. The pill you have to take everyday at the same time. The patch is once a week on the same day every week no matter what time it is. The pill made me gain weight, the patch didn't. I put my patch on, on Tuesdays the week of my period it starts every Saturday. Never skips a beat. I can plan great now because I know exactly when my period is going to come. That made my life a whole lot easier. And if I don't won't my period to start on the weekend I can just change my patch day and I will have a new period day. Now how cool is that!
The patch is the way to go.

Regarding the patch:
I have been on it for over a year. I love it dearly. one big word of caution though......
EVERYONE I know who has been on it says that for the first week or two they have serious mood swings. For me it was like a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs.
I cryed because a Hamster at work died, and because the empress almost died in "never ending story".... of course, I had seen that movie a zillion times. go figure. BUT after the first week or so it leveled out nice. It also made me so accurate that I could literally keep the patch on one extra day to keep from having my period for the weekend.
Word of warning, they do mean it when that say each patch in only good for a week. I tested it out. a day or so over but no more.

Okay, if the pill isn't working for you or if it is making you gain weight or whatever, then you should just switch pills. There are sooo many types of pills out there and they all have different level of hormones that do different things for you. And just so the girls that are worried about gaining weight know, most of the time when you gain weight on the pill, you are gaining it in your boobs (I myself never knew that was a bad thing, I don't know why y'all are so scared of it). But, there are also different pills and some don't make you gain weight at all. They all have different side effects like: curly or straight hair, weight gain/loss, better cramps, clearer skin, mood swings, etc.... I could go on and on. Talk to your doctor if your pill isn't working and he can put you on a different one. ANYWAYS, this is a Cantr website, not a female help clinic. If you really need help, ask on IM or ask your doctor or Planned Parenthood, lets not talk about it here.

First of all you missed the point. The pill is the problem so why would I switch to a different pill. It is stupid to have to remember to take that stupid little pill everyday at the same time when you can just wear the patch only once a week.
Second some people may think it is ok to gain weight in your breast, but I am very petite with a a size DD bra. I do not need anymore
Third yes this is a Cantr website and the question started out as a Cantr question. If you don't like the way the topic changed then there is Topic Category where you can post Non-Cantr related items so move it there.
Last if you think this shouldn't be said here then why did you comment on it. You should have just said that the topic shouldn't be here, moved it and left it at that!

Heehee... I was thinking the same thing, sparkle, but I decided not to be the one to start the argument.
Heh, I don't have big breasts... I think they are a normal size for my age, but I hope they don't get bigger because I like to run... and they already hinder me enough.
I don't think I've ever had mood swings before... sounds scary. I can't imagine crying because someone in a movie almost died. I cry mostly when I'm angry and not too much when I'm sad.

Ok this no longer a cantr related topic. So either get back to cantr or go to the non-cantr part of the forum with this. *Waves a gremlin around menacingly*
Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.

I think that if you want to RP a period, you can RP the emotions, but I don't know if it would work to RP the actual blodflow... Although, as it seems people have RPed pregnancy, I don't see why people wouldn't be allowed to RP periods. I think that this is a personal decision.
