Thank you all. Personally, I am doing fine, per say, but my friend is still critical and unstable. They determined it was h1n1 and she is now fighting the residual effects from that flu. She has never received the flu shot... This is the start of day 11 on a ventilator.

Sunday was 4 weeks on the ventilator for my friend. Today they did a tracheotomy that should make her heal quicker. When I went to see her Sunday, she opened her eyes for the 1st time that I had seen in 4 weeks. She was able to respond with her eyes and knew who I was. The Dr. spoke with me while I was there. She is still in a rough place but definitely healing... Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes.

Miracles do happen, She is now off the vent, six weeks later. She is well on her way to recovery. The Dr really didn't think she was going to pull through this, but she beat the odds!!! Thank you all once again..

She is being moved to a rehab center on Monday or Tuesday. She will likely need oxygen for awhile, and she needs to rebuild her strength.

Dr says she had/has black mold in her lungs, which they are effectively treating. The mold really wasn't hurting her until the H1N1 hit, then it went nuts. The Dr says black mould is picked up just about anywhere.. off someones clothing as you pass them in a store.

This has been a long hard fight, and she beat astronomical odds. Thank everyone!
