First I'd like to say theres no point in admonishing a character or the person playing the character with ooc information posted in teh game since characters can't hear your ooc comments Sho. ;)

Secondly I'd like to say that if a character's baby was kidnapped, then it would be kidnapped. The person kidnapping would obviously have to use ** some type of emoticon to show thats what he/she was doing, and those who rp'ed the babies would have to accept it. Then of course you'll have this

A man in his twenties says: *Picks up the baby.*
You see a man in his twenties leave blah taking blahblah path to blah blah blah blah path
A woman in her twenties says: THAT MAN STOLE MY BABY!!!
You see a woman in her twenties leave blah taking blahblah path to blah blah blah blah path
You see 12 other people from that town leave blah taking blahblah path to blah blah blah blah path
You see a woman in her twenties hit a man in his twenties with a warbow doing 100% dammage

or

You see a woman in her twenties turn around.

Third I'd like to say I've seen some OOC remarks in game where people have stated they disliked the rp'ing of babies and refused to allow their characters believe in such "non-sense" Thats fine, we're not stupid and we can do without your ooc comments. I have no use of the ooc knowledge you post. If your character doesn't believe in babies FINE. I think we will get the hint you do not agree with babies when your character assumes our characters are crazy for believing in it. (IT's not rocket science.) However, don't post your ooc comments hoping we will not rp the baby because you yourself dislike it. :) It will not solve a thing, however your character can think our characters are insane or retarded all they like so long as it fits something your character would do normally.

OOC comments are to be kept at a minimum and only to be used when absolutely neccessary; posting your personal opinion about something is not neccessary. Please keep them to yourself in the future or remark about it on the boards.

In my own opinion, babies will be possible so there is no harm in playing them. Gnomes on dogs will never be possible, gnomes on dogs do not have special powers and this is not some fantasy world with magic. Its a life simulator and gnomes on dogs do not exist in life. Psychologically anyone's character who pretends he is one should be looked at as though he's the same as any other character but has a problem (obviously believing he is a gnome) unless your own character believes in gnomes as well.

You can't literally see a baby yourself due to the physics of the game just yet, but then again you can't see someone kissing another someone either due to the physics of the game; if you want to be technical. ON THE OTHER HAND you can see where someone is at all times if you are in the same location as that someone, thus characters can not hide behind buildings.

If you don't have a problem with emoticons and pretending that your character is visualizing them, then why the baby?

Here's one major problem with RPed babies:
What if the baby stays around for 10 Cantr years or more? It'll be talking, running around, etc. Is the "parent" supposed to RP all those actions for it?

True, OOC comments should be restricted to when not using them caused more harm than using them. I would however argue that a character RPing a baby is a major disruption. It's accepted practice for players to use OOC comments to admonish players who have their characters do things like break the CR, so why not use OOC comments to keep babies out?
Also, having one's character think that the "parent" is crazy could be disruptive. It'll affect the other characters in the area. On the other hand, an OOC comment should not, as characters can't hear OOC comments. Either the "parent" will accept that babies are not a generally accepted part of Cantr, or an OOC argument will erupt. In neither case will the characters hear a thing, and in the meantime anti-baby players can have their characters ignore the babies.

The fact of the matter is,your opinion of it being a Capital Rule breech is not relevant inside of the game.

Permission has been given to play babies from the Players Department, and if you have a problem with something in game you are not to handle it yourself; rather mail the Players Department.

When you remark ooc about this particular thing based upon the statement you just made, it's opinion, not fact- since it has been approved, therefor not necessary.

I agree. Also I have seen people act really immature about this. People who choose not to except it should do so and keep there mouths shut instead of throw some whining hissy fit about you not believing in this type of thing.
a day without cantr, is a day spent in bed convulsing and suffering from withdrawl
