Hmm.. I'm not sure, Jos. Maybe they don't come to the forums as much when they're new now as in the past. But we do get new people in the welcome thread regularly.

I'm glad that you've made this observation. I've been thinking the same thing, but also wondered if it was all my imagination. I enjoy a good discussion, and I've even attempted to start a few.

But apparently the things I find interesting aren't exactly that interesting to others. :|

Well, we're discussing why people don't discuss anything anymore on the forum o: Don't you think that's a bit funny? ;D

Yes I do NM :D So I'm starting a few new (random) topics on various boards. Join in, folks!

My observation is that forum participation dropped off precipitously when we closed the "Things that irritate your characters" thread, which was by far the most active thread. I also stand by the decision, and welcome the new peace that replaced the nonsense that thread used to generate. I'd rather read one positive post instead of 10 flames any day.

I hate the closing of that topic. I still believe it's the responsibility of the player to take the rants personal or not, and everyone should be free to rant about what irritates them as they please. But I'm no executive here.

Henkie, at least five dutch people posted on the forums in the last 24 hours. Considering there are only ten dutch players active in the game, this actually is quite a lot!

But overall forum activity is down, compared to a few years ago. This trend can be seen on most forums i visit, not only this one. I think the rise of social media has something to do with it.
I think ...

I post less because I don't like the backlash that often follows. Things get nasty and I get upset. If you can't take the heat, don't poke the fire?

You should spawn more (and more, and more) *whistles*

That's a bad thing to tempt me with, Nancy. Every time I get up to the full fifteen, I feel overwhelmed and I wind up having to eXit for a few months. I'm sitting happily at eleven and seems to be the perfect number for moi! :-P
