Good map making has nothing to do with screen shots.
They have to do with:
1) good reason to be making a map
2) reliability of the map should be one of the biggest issues. roleplaying the cartographer limits of action/technology is great but rarely seen. nobody roleplays cartography mistakes wich is a shame.
3) maps should be a great graphic piece, wich means no screenshots

I find human error adds plenty of cartography mistakes, the most notorious of which are the mislabeled towns on the original Treefeather map, and the first map of Cantr was a nightmare.
