Best Island?

Sorry for adding my opinion.. *shrugs* As a player.. best island for me.. depends on my charri.. I may have one that loves burgeo.. looking at the island from that ones eyes.. it is the best.. looking at it through anothers would generate a much different opinion... even from a players point of veiw.. simply my opinion.

If I only had 1 on the island, and one on shai, but the one on shai was very active and entertaining this week,, well then yes.. my best island would be Shai...

I didn't say it was wrong to add your opinion. I just thought you were saying that people should base it on their chars rather than their own preferences, and it just seemed to me that the thread is about the player's overall preference; I totally see a player having their preference shift based on their characters because they see the world that way, while others see everything as a whole, separate from their characters' likes and dislikes.

I don't really have a favorite because I don't think about places in the concept of what islands I'm playing on. I'm not sure I even have a favorite town. I can't even choose favorite other characters (then again, there are sooo many awesome ones)!

I must show love for Cantr/Naron island. I think the post-apocalyptic, creepy feel that half of it has is great. I love looking through 'ruins' and finding ancient notes. And practically having to struggle to find good people that wake up more than once or twice a week. It make finding them that much more worth the search.

That tiny island a lot of you love so much... well... I'll just keep my opinion to myself

i cannot truly declare the BEST island as i have only been on maybe half (of the signifigat ones, means exclude 1-3 city sandbars)
i'd say the best is an island with some infrastructure and well settled locations but still has some relativly undevelopped or at least abandoned unclaimed locations.
with those criteria being met we still have a few to choose and i and trapped between treefeather, chantr, and omeo islands though i like the first 2 better
treefeather because i still see some long lasting legacy from some of my long past chars
and cantr island because it just has more of an open flexible feel. still lots of potential and more challenge accomplishing it.

I love the Hislands... the only problem is that they are mainly Spanish, so I'm going to be alone on this one.

Also, I'm enjoying Cantr Island A LOT, and disliking Pangea and Treefeather.
